Check your grocery ads for sales on Smart Ones and Healthy Choice. They're great when you're in a hurry! I've been looking up a lot of low calorie slow cooker meals (single mom working full time)
I've been buying chicken breast (frozen or fresh when on sale and then freezing the breasts in different marinades), brown rice, frozen veggies, frozen fruit, yogurt, low fat or non fat cottage cheese, lots of produce. If you cut all the junk from your grocery list, you can afford to eat healthy...I'm figuring that out real fast! Read the serving sizes on the back and stick to that. Also, when I cook dinner, I make my plate, make my daughter's plate and then I immediately put the left overs AWAY. If you have kids, DON'T TOUCH THEIR PLATES! I've been trying really hard not to nibble off my daughter's plate, b/c all parents do it...lol
"You have one true obligation, that's to contribute your best to the world. Visualize what you want & think big. Don't be afraid of what others think. We're all deserving of our dreams. Some of us realize it, some don't. You're not doing anyone any favors by living small. Embrace these truths and step up...the world is waiting."
