Hi everyone...Im new to fatsecret.com and the last couple of days I have just been messing around a little, checking things out, and trying to get used to keeping a journal. I am very serious about changing my habits and getting healthier where food and exercise are concerned. Ive been looking over all the different tools and diets and reading some of the comments you guys have written so I want to solicit your help, if you dont mind. Im thinking very seriously about starting the weight watchers diet and was hoping to get some feedback from those of you who have tried it or are on it now. Any advice or comments you can share, good or bad, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your imput...and please pray for me. I dont expect this journey to be easy so I will need all the strength I can get!

A big part of motivation for success in weight watchers is how much money you pay and the support group. You can follow any diet you want right here, including the weight watchers program, and you have a support group built in here. I think there are weight watchers groups, too.
I suggest you set aside the money you would have spent and then buy yourself something nice when you reach your goal.

I echo EKath's post. This is an incredible site of support, motivation and tips and is absolutely free and available 24 hours a day. Great groups and smart people. For all the WW, NS, JC fees I figure I saved I'm buying myself a really fancy treadmill next weekend.

My mom and a co-worker do weight watchers and it's worked great for them. My mom had tried it before and didn't stick to the plan, but this time she's really serious about it and she's lost over 40 lbs. I know for her this site wouldn't work because she needs the commitment of going to the meetings and weighing in. She's so busy that if you threw a website at her she'd put off recording, but having the meetings, she can schedule them in to her day and it just works better for her. The site works better for me because I don't want to go to meetings and weigh in with others at a meeting. So, I'd say if you have the money and really want the real life support, then go for it! Otherwise, try this site for a few weeks and if you don't notice a difference in weight and feel you need that extra push you can always join later.
Goal 3: 125 whenever I get there
Goal 2(restart): 130 by May 25th (2013 vacation)
Goal 1: 135 by May 24th (2012)~~~~Accomplished!

Yes I get this. The main reasons tend to be sodium intake, lack of water, and hormones. I see from your food log that most days you are over 3000 and somethimes up to 5000mg in sodium. "They" ...

Atkins buddy needed
Have you thought of joining an Atkins challenge? You can get as much or as little support there as you want to have. :)
