Once again, I'm starting over. I decided to try this website so that I would have something to hold me accountable, but unfortunately I've had some things come up, and I totally threw that out the window. I haven't even tried or journaled anything in over 2 weeks.
So, today is my new beginning to make that push before the holidays are here again.
Good luck to all the other strugglers!

You can always try again just don't give up for good. I decided upfront that i will be on this exact diet even on holidays. That is the time when people gain their weight back because they get carried away.

If you have come back then you haven't given up...just a momentary pause.

I too am finding myself "starting over" again. Seems like that's all I've been doing the last 3 years. I seriously don't know what is wrong with me and why I cannot stop eating. It is ruining my health and I'm almost immobile because of it...shouldn't that be enough for me to do something? UGH

I signed up to use this website about 3 or 4 weeks before I ACTUALLY got round to using it. I knew I was about to embark on my weightloss journey (yes- AGAIN!)but when I first signed up I wasn't quite ready to accept the changes in my life I was going to have to make. I have a lot of weight to lose and Im not making all the changes I need to just yet (talking of the exercise I will need to do) but I have made a start with the food. I plan to start the exercising once its not quite so painful for me even to move round normally.

I would be willing to bet there are a lot more "starter-overs" than "newbies" on this website. I agree with Hildi72 posted. The important thing is that you did come back and are focused on working towards your goals once again. I myself am also starting over today. I know what works best for me, and that is to exercise daily, log my food intake, and remember that the end result is a happier, healthier me. Good luck everyone!

I'm also started over today! Erased all my old charts and starting anew. I was thinking of doing WW but they discontinued the only convenient meeting in my area.
So I just decided that I've got to do this on my own.
Best of luck to all!

Unfortunately we all struggle from time to time. But as long as you are moving forward and not letting circumstances stand in your way, you have got it made.

Welcome back. I too had a few "false starts" here, but this time it's sticking. I actually reached my goal, but now had a setback due to massive surgery. I'm working my way back to goal though. So can you.

I can't say that I'm "starting over" since I never really quit. I may have not been as on track as I was before but I never stopped trying to make healthier choices. This is life and sometimes things get in the way of our best intentions. Failure only happens when you quit. So never give up and you will succeed.
I'm thinner today than I was yesterday but not as thin as I will be tomorrow.

You can look at my weight history. I started a few times, maybe third time is the charm! It gets into your head and haunts you, lol.

Yep, I came here over a year ago, got to my ideal weight, and then let it go. Now I'm re-starting again pretty much from the same place where I was when I first came to this website.
As long as we keep trying, it's all good.

I've had a few start-overs too, but thank goodness this site is here to pick me back up. I've been here over a year now and love the tools, support and advice. At least you are starting over and not giving up!

All you starter-overs should buddy each other...seriously! It might help you stick with it since you have that common issue. Good luck to all of you.

I'm starting again too. Lots 15lb but now 2 years later back to where I started. I like theoretcically the idea of being slimmer but I like food more and just can't seem to find the motivation.

I am back at it yet again myself...I had lost almost 40 of my 100 lbs then had a heart attack, found out my thyroid is dead, had uterine cancer and a hysterectomy (all in the first 3 months of 2011)and have just been recouperating for the last year...oh, and bought a house and moved in the first 3 months of this year. I haven't ever completely stopped making better choices but it sure snuck back up on me. Now frustrated with trying to figure out what I am supposed to eat, since my endochrinologist and cardiologist say that my metabolism is way too efficient and that I don't process carbs right. *SIGH* BUT here I am again and getting serious again. We can do this!

Nice to see I am not the only one starting over
I followed WW a few years back when i could actually afford the WW Online & did really well losing 35lbs. I then let things go & decided (with a nudge from my Dr.) to get back on WW & get where I need to be for my health. I am so happy I found this site as it really does help me to keep track of everything. I wish everyone the best in their renewed journey.

I don't think a journey to become healthy ever 'starts over'. If you fall of the map, it is just you going through the motions of changing your lifestyle. As long as you keep getting back on the wagon, down the line you will be able to look back and see a whole journey you have taken from the very first moment you decided to begin.
I'm glad you are back on the wagon now
but don't think you have to start over and scrap your hard work if you've disappeared for a little bit. This is a life long endeavor with life long rewards.
