how many POINTS can I have?

I cannot afford to join weight watcher's so I am using this site. How do I figure out how many points I can have? Is it a daily point system or weekly? Now that I am armed with the weight watcher's cookbook and know I can eat lean cuisines, I am ready to go but I suppose it would be senseless if I don't know how many points I can have.

Your number of daily points depends on your weight. From 150-160# you get 22 points, and below 150# you get 20. Don't know about weights over 160#. Each week you get 35 extra points to use as you choose. So, if you want to spread them evenly over the week, and your beginning points are 20/day, you can have 25/day. Or if you want to be "good" all week and then use all 35 points at the KFC buffet, that's an option. Just be careful in that arena, b/c at some of the buffets you can go up to nearly 100 points before you know it! Over 150# you can add points to your daily number by exercising, don't remember how many. Just one or two.

I think (not sure) if you weigh from 175 to 200lbs, you can have 24 points a day. Someone correct me if I'm wrong! Here's a website that I just love that will tell you point values to just about everything:

Don't know if the WW in the UK is different & I haven't attended for a few years so it may have changed, but according to the lit. I have 15-17stone - 24pts, 13-15stone 22 points, 11-13 stone - 20pts, 9-11 stone - 18pts. It's on average 4 points more than this for guys. I have never heard of the 35 points extra to spread over the week - you can however carry over points from one day to the next, or save them up for the weekend. Very Happy
