Hello All,
I am 38 years old and have struggled with my weight all my Life. After a sharp increase in negative health issues I reached out for surgical assistance. I tipped the scales at 310 lbs in September and on my 5,11 frame it is not very functional. On the 12th of December 2012 I received a Sleeve Gastrectomy. For those unfamiliar with the term it is a reduction in the size of your stomach. I weighed in at 306.5 the Morning of the proceedure and as of 28 December I am down to 283. The decision for surgery was a hard one as the effects are permanent and most view this as a very extreme way to loose weight. I have dieted most of my Life with no long term success. Without the benefit of a personal trainer 24/7 I knew I needed to do something different that would allow me to change the way I look at food. So far I feel great and do not regret my decision. I am begining to look at food like I never have before. I have joined this group as a support network and look forward to making new Friends and sharing experiences for long term success.

Hello
Hello finding what works and is sustainable for you is key. Also burning more calories then what we consume is part of the equation too. This journey is a marathon and not a sprint. Good luck
