Hello everyone! Just want to introduce myself. I am Deanne I go by Dee. I am married to my best friend Ken. I have 3 kids that are older. My husband had a heart attack at 31 and has had heart issues ever since. We are 43 now and not getting any younger. We have decided to make a lifestyle change and get healthy. Eating better, exercise and maintaining our goal weight is our ultimate goal. We are currently doing Weight Watchers, Ken goes to the meetings and I follow along. Money is tight for us and with his health it makes more sense for him to have the extra support. While playing around on the internet tonight I came across fatsecret, and feel this is the support I need. To be able to turn to others for help and support is awesome. I havent told many that I am doing Weight Watchers, because I do not want to let anyone down. So with that said, I could maybe use some support and buddies on here. Thanks for reading and I pray I hear back from others so we can be each others rock.

Hello and welcome to fatsecret, Dee. I'm fairly new here myself, but in the short time I've been here I've found the folks here to be friendly and supportive of each other, so I think you will find what you need here. It will take a lot of hard work and results will not be immediate, but if you stay disciplined and remain patient you will reach all of your goals. Best of luck to you reaching your goals!

Hey Dee! I'm fairly new to this site myself, but I've been with weight watchers for a while. I became pretty unmotivated and discouraged by our leader, decided to quit and to no surprise, some of the weight crept back on. I'm looking forward to shedding some of the pounds and I'm always looking for buddies! I also have a family, therefore, I thought the smart ones meals were a little out there. I didn't want to eat "differently" than my family, so I adapted some of the recipes I already had, and encorporated weight watchers into them to become more family oriented. There are very subtle changes, most of which my family wasn't able to depict...which made it a definate win, win! (I was losing weight and we were saving money by not buying the smart ones all the time) If you would like some of those recipes, please send me message...glad to help in any way I can! Jessie
