However; I am having a difficult time with their web site. So; I thought I'd this site a try as well. And, so far so good. BUT: it seems to me that the numbers are a bit generous. According to this site I am allowed 2700 cal's per day. If I add in my activities that number jumps to 3600+ per day. Can this be correct?

Wow, that is way too high!! Many have said the activity levels are too high of an estimate. I don't use the activity calculators on here, so I can't really say. I would probably try to stick with your points plan but maybe use this to see how many calories that has been allowing you.

Think of the numbers they give as a starting point. This is a lifelong project. It can do no harm to your long-term progress to take a week or two to count calories and find out what your calorie needs are, then base your target intake on that.

I think their numbers are way off, too.

Thanks to all. It has really helped my planing. I am staying on the WW plan. However; This site is much more informative and finding a food here is almost to ez. And as a bonus I can cross reference calories and such with points. And Again, thanks to all.

Remember, you need to leave a gap between what you burn and what you consume. 500 Calories/day means 1 pound lost per week. So ignore the RDI and just look at that - the RDI is pointless!

This is a good starting point, but you really need an exercise plan to maximize the results. Even if it is just walking. Get moving!
