I am tired of people I know telling me I look sick. I feel great, and I am eating way more neutricious than ever before...... and excersizing to boot ! I think thaty they are just used to seeing me fatter. Whats your HONEST opinion ?
I am now at 195.6 pounds, and my goal is 180.

I have gotten those comments too. I think it all boils down to that we are so used to the fact that when people lose a lot of weight, then something is wrong.
Don't worry about it. I once read a great saying: "You wouldn't worry so much about what people think about you, if you realized how seldom they do it."

I have a male friend that got too thin but his face looked drawn, yours does NOT! You look healthy to me, seriously. People who are heavier often look younger. I know my face looked young for my age when I was heavier. I'd rather be healthier and look my 40! My suggested weight is 115... Never gonna happen! Esp with my athletic build. Everyone is different, I'm thinking 125 will be perfect. So to answer you question no you don't look sickly at all. Can't see the rest of you but I think you look right where you should be by your face lol.

I think you look great too.. And I wouldn't bother to comment, unless I really thought that. I have also got comments about being too thin now.... And yet I am a good 14-18 pounds heavier, than I was 25 years ago... They didn't say that then! Don't take any notice, if you feel great and are happy with how you look - that's what is important.

I agree with the others - you look great! I've gotten those kinds of comments too - it really does come down to the fact that they are used to seeing a little more 'fluff' on your face. Like Keld said, for whatever reason, some people associate losing weight with being sick/unhealthy (which makes no sense). Forget the haters.

Unless you are still wearing your big clothes anyone who doesn't know you would say you look great. I had a friend drop 60lbs and never bought new clothes....so the collars on his dress shirts made him look like he dramatically lost weight since they were so huge around his neck....and has the effect of making his face look more drawn. Ya ..extra meat on your face makes you look younger and healthier in some respects but it is unfortunate we can't tell the fat where to deposit. Just keep doing what your doing.

I always wonder how often those comments come from individuals who are uncomfortable with the fact that you are losing weight because it sheds light on how unhealthy thier lifestyles are. They want to be happy for you and the commitment you've made to health, but the elephant in the room is that they need to lose weight too and aren't doing anything about it. That seems to be the case with some of my family members anyway.

I think you look fine. If you lose a lot of weight, I think it makes you look older b/c the skin is loose. That may be where the "you look sick" comes from - I remember when my brother lost about 50 lbs and that is what I thought - he looked sick. He looked better when he gained 20 lbs back. I feel like I look much older after dropping 80, but I am 2 years older! I notice the wrinkles more - skin not stretched over face as much?
Regardless, if you still need to lose weight to reach a healthy level, then forget them. I'm on my final 10-15 and people say I don't need to lose any more, but I know I need to in order to be able to maintain a healthy weight. This post is not about me though
Keep up the good work.

I think you look wonderful. As long as you feel good and are eating healthy that's all that matters. You will also probably know if you get to small because you will be sick quite often. For some reason when people are underweight their body has a hard time fighting other peoples germs. I experienced that when I was way younger. Also it is probably because you have more muscle mass now that they think you are to small. Anyhow I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe you will just be the motivation someone else needs!

If I understand your timetable correctly, you're losing 5lbs/week, which is nice for the speed of weight loss (I'm pretty jealous of that, I manage much less) but also does leave you with a lot of extra skin, which takes fairly long to adjust.

You look a little pale. Maybe that's what they are seeing, if you had a tan this summer.

You look great, don't listen to anybody, but you might need a fashion make over. Once you lose weight you cannot just buy a smaller version of your old clothes. I have a few "one size fits all" pieces that looked great on me when I was heavier but that make me look old now. Same with new clothes, I had to change brands, not just sizes. And getting those old "before the weight gain" clothes out of storage is an even bigger mistake. Reward yourself with a few new fashionable pieces that fit your new body and see what they say then.

I put good use to the "before the weight gain" clothes -- got me through almost 2 years before I had to buy new clothes. It allowed me the opportunity to save my money for a shopping spree at the finish line. Funny how styles have changed - all my old pants were high waisted! I did not like the low rise trend when it started, but now those high waisted pants or so uncomfortable and not flattering!

I think it's mainly that they're used to the way you used to look. People don't undergo changes like this everyday, so it'll just take them awhile to adjust to the way you look. Once they do, it'll become the new normal for you.

Thanks Terrylm1. I agree, it's just a little distracting, and not something you want to hear from friends and family. Happy Hollidays !
