I've wondered that too. According to what I've found I am only burning a bit over 1000 calories sleeping. I'm guessing that most of the weight loss is water. I'm sure going 8+ hours without drinking would result in a fair amount. Plus, I don't know about you but I always go to the bathroom first before weight in too.

Myself, I'm just starting my diet. I'm trying to weigh each morning and take a topless photo in the bathroom mirror. I've seen a few time-lapsed weight loss videos on youtube.
On night weightloss, it is all water weight, through respiration, sweating, and urination. One site said we eliminate about 1.2 liters in urine daily, and about 1 liter daily through perspiration and respiration. That's almost 5 pounds of weight fluctuation throughout the day!

I weigh myself roughly every Sunday, like the comments above say your weight fluctuates too much from morning to evening. Beside I feel a little obsessive weighing myself every day. You can see a more drastic change by weighing myself only on Sundays.

Every morning right out of bed and after going to the bathroom. Keeps me honest.

Once a week. I know my mom gets frustrated when she is up a pound from the day before so I only do once a week. But i try to always do the same day same time

I weigh myself in every morning but I record only once a week, on Fridays, as my weight goes up and down during a week. Can't wait for tomorrow morning to check my weekly result, I worked so hard this week

I weigh myself every day. It is amazing how your weight can fluctuate when you do so. That is why I am so glad that FatSecret puts our weigh-ins on a graph.

I weigh myself on Sunday & Wednesday. I feel it would be unhealthy for my mental state to weigh everyday. I'm neurotic enough!

I weigh myself about once a week. Normally on a Monday since that is the only day I get the correct amount of sleep.

I've heard it's not recommended to weigh yourself everyday, but I usually do it every day. Thisis because I want to see the effect in my body of different foods and activities of the day before. The thing is that sometimes the weight doesn't depend only on food and workout, but also on the hormones of the day and I don't know what other factors of the body. Anyway, once a week is supposed to be good, and ges rid of anxiety.

I weigh myself every morning and I am accustomed to fluctuations due to how hydrated I am. I record any new lows. If I just weighed once a week, I might weigh myself on a bad day and not give myself mental credit for the progress I have made that week. That would be disappointing!

I used to weigh myself twice a week. Monday morning and Saturday morning. Trying to see if my weekday eating was better than over the weekend. I am thinking of weighing each morning at least for the next two weeks.

DAILY! maybe three times a day. While I know weight can fluctuate immensely during the day, it's nice to see my "lowest weight", when my "normal weight" shows up midday, it's like a motivator to kick my butt into gear. it's also nice to see the scale read back a number some people have never reached in their lives which is also very inspriational.

I weigh most mornings. When I try to change my weight on my profile, it won't change on my stats. What am I doing wrong?

Have you found the exercise Brazil butt lift? I would like to gain tone but not build heavy, thick looking legs. Is this possible? Also need suggestions for upper body with the same philosophy.
