Where is everyone from?
I live in American Samoa on Tutuila Island, a small island in the Pacific Ocean half way between Hawai'i and New Zealand. I guess I would call it mostly rural, but a better description would be island. We have limited food choices and the choices varies tremendously week to week. I shop in several small stores and two relatively large retail establishments, one of which is sort of like Costco. I am an Archaeologist originally from West Virginia.

Calories Burned Taking Care of 11 month old boy.
Obviously sherilyn70 has not looked at my exercise or food diaries. I am very detailed in inputting both "exercise" (term used by this site)/activity, and foods that I've eaten. They have choices for sitting, standing, housework etc in the exercise diary, why would asking about child care seem like I am asking for an excuse not to exercise? I want to have a very accurate idea as to the number of calories actually burned so that I can monitor exactly how much I should eat for the day. I am not afraid of exercise. On a slow day I walk to and from work (roundtrip 8 miles).

Baseball or maybe tennis. I wonder if there is a listing somewhere online for calories burned for child care.

Calories Burned Taking Care of 11 month old boy.
I spend a lot of time taking care of, chasing, carrying and worrying over my wonderful super active 11 month old son. There doesn't seem to be a choice in the exercise diary for this type of exercise. I know it has to be significant because I am much more tired after watching my boy for 2 hours than I am after walking 4 miles to work or going to the gym for an hour. I usually put it down as housework. [img]http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.n... Does anyone else encounter this when inputting your exercise and if so what do you enter this exercise as? Tim
