Anybody have trouble with birth control pills and weight loss?

I had trouble with spotting when I switched BC pills. I was originally on Orthotricyclen Lo and switched to Yasmin. Never had any problems with ortho but yasmin caused me to spot...I have no idea why. Currently, I went off yasmin and I haven't gotten my period in almost 2 months!!! I have taken 2 preg tests, both neg and my doc said it's normal to take a while to get your cycle back. My conclusion is that that yasmin seriously screwed up my body.....

Scales...something to ponder
I'm really conflicted on this one. I usually can't resist weighing in everyday...in some ways it is good because it keeps me on track. When I try to weigh in once a week, I find myself spurlging more because I know that I don't have to weigh in the next morning. I do agree however that weighing everyday does make you a little obsessed(I know I am). Good article!

Bicycles
I was thinking about buying a bike and riding it to school each day because it's only about 3 miles away from my house. It seems like everyone in FL owns a bike and is a serious rider. The only problem is the crazy thunderstorms that come up out of no where down here. I haven't ridden since I was a kid either but I have done spinning class and man does that hurt your butt! LOL I may just buy a bike though since people seem to love it so much....definitely need one of those gel pads though!! LOL :)

Question of the Day 7/6:
I think I would want to be able to teleport myself. So i could blink and instantly be where ever I want. Think of how much time we spend traveling?? And how much you could save on gas!! Plus my bf lives in NY and I'm in FL so it would be great to just be able to zap myself to NY for a visit. =)

Fasting??
I tried the master cleanse which is a 10 day fast. I only made it to day 4 because i absolutely hated the lemonade mixture you have to live on for the 10 days. I also felt very sick on it...you also drink a laxative tea that works faster and better than any over the counter laxative out there!! I did lose 6 lbs quickly but half of it was water weight so I gained it back as I started eating again. Fasts can be beneficial to willpower but as for the weight loss...I'm not so sure. I personally would rather eat healthy and work out. I'm normally very active and I really enjoying exercising but on the fast I didn't want to do ANYTHING....I was lethargic and felt very sick. To me...not worth it but everyone is different. Hope this helps! Goodluck if you do try it!

No its not in the SBD book. It's a 10 day detoxification diet in which you drink a lemonade concoction. It is supposed to be "cleansing" as well as a major weight loss aid.

Kellogg's All-Bran Guardian Cereal in Phase 2?
I would say that its legal. It has a high fiber content which is important according to the book. Go for it!

I tried the breaking the diet for a day approach....i'll let you know if it worked. And even if it didn't....that oreo McFlurry was amazing :d LOL

Marvelous May Menus PHASE 1
I'll post a menu!! B: 2 eggs scrambled and 1 cup of coffee S: Sliced green bell pepper L: Small salad with red onion and grape tomatoes with balsamic vinegar&olive oil dressing. 3 slices of turkey, 1 cheese stick, and SF jello S: SB milkshake made from cottage cheese, skim milk, and SF chocolate syrup&splenda. D: Grilled salmon top with fresh garlic, olive oil, fresh squeezed lemon and balsamic vinegar(mmm it was so good..lol) and brussel sprouts D: Vanilla riccotta cream from SBD book

Thanks Smallville. I think you may be right. I actually didn't work out yesterday and lost a pound...go figure! I think that I need to take in more calories if I'm going to work out so I will keep that in mind. Thanks again for the input!! Much appreciated! :)

Hi there, I am currently on day 10 of phase 1 and my weight loss has completely stalled for the past 4 days. I lost 5 lbs the first week but i seem to be stuck for no apparent reason. My diet is near perfect and I have been working out daily(moderate cardio and weight training also started yoga once a week). I take in about 1200 calories per day. Any suggestions? Did this happen to anyone else? I'm so confused and frustrated! Please help!
