Weight loss for overweight children
I was always fat- and didnt care. It didnt bother me, i was fun- and I had ALWAYS been the fat kid, the big girl, the fat friend. Loosing weight and going on a diet seemed like torture and an un attainable goal, a huge mountian i had no interest in climbing. I married a fat guy and we lived and ate quite happily together for years. I dont know what anyone could have done to change my patterns but i sure wish someone tried. I remember going to a dietition once with my mother, and honestly just felt attacked and really humiliated. That didnt help me at all. I know I needed to fix alot of emotional issues before working on the weight was even something I even let in my radar. I dont know how your best aproach should be- but i think its important to try to find it - and when you do share it with me?

over time you will learn what to eat to satisfy and what you like and how it all works together. Starting out just educate yourself on how many calories is in what your eating- that alone is a game changer! dont stress about it, learn about it :)

Sweating at the gym
Im gonna go with Awe... I never used to sweat when i first started, but as i got more fit, and worked harder i noticed i started sweating more and more and quicker as time went on. Now, if im not completely soaked hair dripping - i feel like I could have worked harder. Go get your sweat on, F those other fakers!

Need help finding motivation...
In the begining of my journey I will agree it didnt matter what I ate- as long as I stayed in my RDI...BUT after learning I can eat a burger and be starving the rest of the day because thats all I was allowed wasnt working for me. I slowly learned to choose food I liked, but was not out of a box or a window or a paper bag. I figured out it filled me up, and it made me FEEL better and helped with my energy level so I could add in work outs and it changed my emotional state to not rely on food to make me happy, but ME to make me happy. Its a growing learning self exploration that if you commit to it, you will do more then just loose weight. You'll become the person you were meant to be and love life.

Ive lost 80+ pounds in a year. Eating healthy and working out. The End. There is no magic cure, no potion, lotion, drop, shot or shake that will keep you healthy and help you stay that way. Ive maintained my loss for 6 months and have decided I can loose 10 more lbs if I push myself. Hard work pays off. Dont rob yourself of the satisfaction of doing it the " hard" way. Its the only way that works.

Help - Can't get enough calories!!
2 Eggs for breakfast, tuna and yogurt and some veg for lunch and a peice of chicken or lean meat and veggies for dinner w a salad and your at 1200 cal a day easily... throw in a snack here and there and you are well on your way. What ARE you eating?

buy turkey burgers, just as yummy and WAY less fat! Always grill burgers or any meat over frying if given the option- even if only for taste!

PLEASE KNOW - magic potions, shakes, snack packs all sabotoge you in the end! Just eat what you know is good and healthy - if it comes in a box or bag its probably not so good! Move your body! Its the ONLY way that works and the results will stay.

Body Fat %
My scale read my bf% anywhere between 23% to 30% on any given day, AND it can very from morning and night. So I was just wondering if I should be putting any thoughts to it- doesnt seem like it can be acurate if it fluxuates so much...

Thigh problem
P90x is AWESOME. 90 day work out program w 7 or 8 dvds. Its an average an of an hour a day to work out various body parts - differant one every day of the week, w one day of rest. It will kick your ass- and you will like it! :) all you need is some excersise bands and the door attachement and a yoga mat. Tony is the instructor, i find him very motivational and ive learned alot. I did the 90 days, i've lost a LOT of weight, p90x and fat secret and running is all i've used in the last few months.

I love your suggestions ladies they are all wonderful- I agree you cant really expect to NEVER eat cake or mashed potatoe ever again... so you have to make a choice, eat a little satisfy your taste buds with out killing your whole day. Moderation is key and pick your battles! My mother in law always cooks holiday dinners. I enjoy her food and dont deprive myself, or offend her by not eating something because Im " on a diet" Im not dieting, im eating more healthy all the time. SO one small bit of mashed potates once a month will not un do all my efforts - Cheers and enjoy the holiday!
