How are you all doing? I'm starting again tomorrow (if I can muster the willpower - so bloody angry with myself) Hope you're all doing better than me!

Thank you so much for your messages. Nothing's working at the moment, but luckily I don't think I have put anything back on yet. Just can't get my head around dieting at all at the moment though. :d :d :d Best wishes to everyone else trying hard this week. Hopefully it won't be too long before I dare get back on the scales again.

Just as well! I'm letting the side down badly. Being nosy - what's the new job then? Enough to take your mind off food for a while? :d

Do you get Terrys Chocolate Oranges over there? If you do, you'll know why I couldn't resist. If you don't, you have no idea what you're missing out on! Anyway - it's all gone now. Back on the wagon again.

Feeling quite chuffed today. When I joined fatsecret I entered a few of my recipes, and they've finally been accepted today. Feel like a published author!

7-8lb/week
Erm, no-one else has mentioned this, but personally I don't think it's safe for your body, healthy or wise to lose so much weight so quickly. It's possible to lose that much in the first week, but it will be mostly excess water. 1. You will have no energy 2. You will not be eating enough to stay healthy 3. If you lose weight this quickly, you will probably pile it all back on with more besides. 4. It has taken you a long time to put the weight on. You also need to lose it slowly, to give your body and skin time to readjust to it's decreasing size. 5. If you lose weight slowly, at a sensible rate of 1-2lb weekly, by eating healthily and taking gently exercise; it will promote life-changing habits that will last.

Do you realise that there are 10 of us now in this little group. Fantastic - if we can't keep ourselves motivated it's a bad job!

Freaky - I could have written that myself! Just the same with alcohol - mainly the reason I've put the weight on in the first place. As for cravings, I can go days, weeks even without a problem. Then I'll hit a day when I get really stressy/depressed, and all care goes out the window. It really becomes a case of just what can I find to shovel in next! I even find myself eating food I don't normally like.

I'm aiming to stick to around 1200 cals a day. Because of what I'm eating the diet is naturally low in fat anyway. Basically - loads of veg, a little chicken or fish. Very low carb intake (I've cut out bread and pasta) No added fat - I use olive oil for stir-frying and salad dressings, together with fat free natural yoghurt, and lots of herbs and spices. I also try to eat fruit as much as possible, but find this the hardest as theres nothing I really like. I'd be okay travelling on my own. Basically I'd hide in my hotel room after stocking up at the local supermarket. Trouble is I'm travelling with 3 men, including my husband - so it's going to be one long food and beer-fest. How can I not join in? I've a day and night in Amsterdam, then 4 nights in the UK, not to mention the 2 days either side stuck in airports. I know exactly what I should and shouldn't be eating - I don't need to count calories to know if I'm eating okay or not. It's the willpower bit that lets me down every time. I'm so determined not to put weight on this coming week, or I'm going to be so upset with myself.

:doubt: I've stayed the same this week. It's my own fault as I've not been very good over the weekend. I'm not too upset at staying the same, I've no-one to blame but myself. What worries me more is the fact that I'm away travelling in hotels for 5 days. That could be diet suicide. I'll be happy if I've managed to stay the same next Monday. Good luck to everyone else, hope you're doing better than me.

Well I'm really cheesed off with myself today. Woke up feeling lousy - nothing I could pinpoint, just no energy. So what have I done - felt sorry for myself and eaten junk, that's what! Really cross with myself now. Just when I think I've got this willpower thing cracked, I go and mess up again.
