Every day and one official weigh in at my Weight Watcher's meeting every Saturday morning at 7:30am before breakfast.

How comfortable do you feel wearing sexy lingerie? I'm not and wish I was...Any suggestions?

Thanks for all the suggestions and I'm not sure why it's so hard for me even when I was thinner and younger. I remember a boyfriend finding sexy lingerie in my drawers and encouraging me to wear them. I wouldn't come out of the bathroom. He thought I looked great and actually the sex was amazing, perhaps the whole struggle was a turn on. I don't know. I want to be that person, I believe I am that person who wants to look sexy and yet it's just so out of my comfortable zone which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I have these outfits, garter belts, pretty camis, cute ruffled panties, etc. but it's just not working for me now. Maybe it's the weight or maybe it's about my sex drive right now. Maybe I'm hoping if I act that way I will feel that way. Maybe it will.

I offered to put on sexy lingerie last night and he said the kids would be in soon. They brought me my Mother's Day present since they were so excited and couldn't wait to give me the newest iPad 32 GB with wi-fi. Would have been embarrassed if they saw me in what I was going to put on. Some what relieved, some what disappointed, about the lingerie, not the present. Ah, domesticity versus the erotic. I want to spice up my sex life and yet feel hesitant to go into this realm until I lose the weight. It bothers me that my weight holds me back or is it something else. What if I do it, I'm out of my comfort zone and it doesn't work?

Sex and Weight - Will I Feel Sexier When I Lose the Weight?
I've been undressing in the bathroom for far too long and I am embarrassed. If I came out in sexy lingerie I would not feel real. When I was thinner and younger, I didn't give it a second thought. Now I would just like to feel comfortable with being naked. My husband has a belly and doesn't seem self conscious at all. Why can't I just accept how I look now and not be so critical? It's certainly put a damper on my sex drive when instead of going for it I just want to hide. Any one else have similar experiences?

When you lose weight, does it help you feel better in other areas of your life?
Thank you for the encouraging responses. They are so inspirational! I know that I went to food when I was stressed and many times it was to avoid doing something that was difficult, painful or needed to be done. The need for immediate gratification and/or reward felt better for the moment but when it sabotaged my efforts or resulted into a food hangover,I beat myself up for taking a few steps backwards. Taking back control of my eating, living a healthier life style, exercising and taking care of myself, makes me feel more confident and willing to take risks. If I want to change, I must be the change. That's worth remembering when I'm at crossroads.

When you lose weight, does it help you feel better in other areas of your life?
My weight has yo-yoed over the years and as my mother, a former weight watcher lecturer, used to say, "nothing feels as good as thin.". I know that when my weight is up, I hide. My clothes are baggy and my energy is low. When I was dating, the weight loss made me feel sexier, I wore fitted clothes and was more outgoing. Most recently, my success in weight loss included planning and tracking, which helped me to be more organized. It took discipline and commitment. An area that was particularly stressful to me was my finances. By tracking my bill payments and due dates, I improved my credit and got my finances in order which was an unexpected surprise. Although I still have a few pounds to go before I feel great naked, I do have more energy and hope, as if the small efforts I am making matter. I am seeing every aspect of my life shift for the better: health, relationships, personal development, work and life. Has any one else found that to be true for them too? In what ways does your life improve when you are successfully losing weight? I'd love to hear about it. Thanks.

Feeling like a failure...
You are not alone. Every one has those days. Every day is a clean slate and if you can do just one small change every day you will see results. It took time to put on the weight, even though it seems to go on easier than to lose, you must be patient and keep taking the steps and you will see results over a period of time. Good luck and keep going!

Need a Buddy!!
Hi All, My plan is to lose 20 lbs by June 30th and I am on my second day. I've lost 15 lbs on Weight Watchers, made it to Lifetime Member, and have been going up and down. I committed to losing the 20 lbs to get back into a bathing suit by June 30th. Sure could use some buddies and am willing to offer support to anyone who needs it. I am new to this site.
