"AROUND THE WORLD" (in 42 Days)
5 WAYS TO GET ACTIVE: 1. Walk the dogs (or kids, or husband, etc.) It's a beautiful time of year to get outside! 2. Weed that yard! 3. Spend a day at a theme park, or the zoo. 4. Park farther away from the building. 5. Wash your car. SNACK RECIPE: Well, I can hardly call this a "recipe", but I love frozen strawberries! They are so healthy and full of fiber, and when partially frozen they have a very satisfying crunchiness!

Trailblazers!!
Hi guys! here's my week's tally for activity: Sunday: 2 hours walking Monday: 30 minutes walking Tuesday: 30 minutes walking Wednesday: 30 minutes walking Thursday: 30 minutes walking Friday: 30 minutes walking I'm embarrassed to post my weight this week. 150.5 :-( I just have so much trouble nowadays because hubby stopped doing WW with me. I know that's a terrible excuse, but when he and the girls are pigging out, it is so hard for me to stick with the plan. :-(

"AROUND THE WORLD" (in 42 Days)
Hi all! MINI CHALLENGE: For me, the biggest thing is that I'm getting active with my kids. I've always been big on saying they shouldn't watch too much TV, but then I finally realized that the way to get them away from the tube is to substitute other activities! We've been walking, riding bikes, camping, going to the zoo, theme park, etc. I'm not only keeping my girls away from the tube, but I'm getting lots of activity and having a blast at the same time! "AROUND THE WORLD" (in 42 Days)
MINI CHALLENGE # 4 What are you doing to reinforce daily the new habits you are trying to build? I created a daily appointment in my Outlook to TELL me to do my daily walk. Also, since I really struggle with drinking enough water, my new rule is no evening treat (usually some air popped popcorn or a Skinny Cow ice cream) until I've had my quota for the day. What are the positive affirmations that you are focusing on? I am so honestly the happiest I have ever been in life. I am RICH in so many ways; an awesome family, a good home, a car I like, a good paying job. And I like me!

Trailblazers!!
Ugh, I am sorry too ladies. Not only do I not have a loss this week, but the scale is showing a gain! I'm at 148.5 (although if by some miracle I am down by tomorrow morning, I'll post again). My exercise this week is: Monday: 35 minutes swimming, 20 minutes walking Tuesday: 30 minutes walking Wednesday: 30 minutes walking Thursday: 30 minutes cleaning basement (whew!) Friday: oops, nothing! :-( This coming week I'm going to really try to eliminate the eating out, as that is consistently my downfall. Out of convenience we have done far too much of it this week!

100 Calorie Snack Packs Bad??
I have to agree as well. What I find when I eat those 100 calorie packs is that I just end up frustrated because it is such a tiny, tiny amount! I feel better when I am able to fill up--which means veggies and fruits! I buy canned V8 by the case now, seriously! (And, not to be gross, but all those processed carbs are going to really slow down your digestive processes.) When I really need a "treat", I go for a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich.

"AROUND THE WORLD" (in 42 Days)
MINI CHALLENGE! My favorite breakfast is two slices of whole wheat toast with fruit spread and a glass of skim milk. It's quick to throw together and I honestly could not start my day without it! For snacks, my absolute favorite has got to be V8 juice because despite the high sodium content, it is still pretty healthy, filling, and low in points. I also indulge in pretzels from time to time. I've often had a can of soup for a snack as well though, as I've discovered that a can of soup is about the same points as a pack of pretzels! And of course, Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches when I really need a treat.

"AROUND THE WORLD" (in 42 Days)
MY MINI CHALLENGE RESPONSE: How to keep from munching--well I know this will sound crazy, but I once lost 15 pounds by drinking a low carb beer every evening! Why does it work for me? Because I really cannot drink a beer quickly--it takes me at least an hour or even two to sip one down. By doing that, I'm only consuming a couple of points, instead of sitting there munching and consuming 5 or 6 times that many points! I think this approach could work for others, not necessarily using beer, but by finding something that they can consume slowly which prevents them from going overboard on snacks. What surprises have I found on food labels--often, the items that are tagged as "low fat" are much higher in calories; those that are sugar free are often higher in fat! Sometimes, the "original" versions of some foods are better than their "low fat" or "sugar free" varieties when to consider all of the facts.

"AROUND THE WORLD" (in 42 Days)
Good Morning Guys! I'm down another half pound to 146.5! Yeehaw this challenge is awesome! ;) One question that I have; is there an easy way to find the mini-challenges? I have a hard time making my way through all the weigh-ins and activity reports to find the challenges themselves, especially when I'm in a hurry. Thanks all! Go TRAIL BLAZERS! Oh, and put me down for another hour walk today! :p

"AROUND THE WORLD" (in 42 Days)
Hi All! Logging in for Trail Blazers, go team go!!! For Saturday, I had 60 minutes walking. For Sunday, unfortunately I had a migraine so all I got in was some light housework and a lot of resting. For Monday, 60 minutes walking. MINI-CHALLENGE: My goal during this challenge is to get down to my next mini-goal, which is to 140 pounds. I'm drinking my water each day, and working to increase my food intake with fruits and vegetables, not carbs. Let's go team!!

Tracking Points?
Thanks Billiejosmith, That is a handy feature, however I was really hoping there would be an online tracker here. You know, that tells you how much each item is, but then in your daily totals it shows calories, etc., not points. I guess I'll use the food diary here and keep the calories in mind, but still use my own personal spreadsheet for really tracking my points. Thanks again for the reply!! Lesa

Tracking Points?
Hi All! I'm new to fatsecret (have been doing Spark People for a while). I want to be able to track my Weight Watchers points online without paying extra for the WW etools. Is there a way to track your points here on fatsecret? Thanks!

wii fit?
I love my Wii fit. It's been a big help for me. And, if you have kids, they will love it too. Mine play it all the time and it's great way to keep THEIR activity up during the winter months.

Veggies, veggies and more veggies. The more I eat the more I lose! I've been making lots of soup with lots of veggies and ground turkey or cubed cooked chicken.
