"Dream Candy"
My dream candy is peanut m&m's. We have the "fun" size packs at work this past two weeks. I did really well the first week and didn't have one, this week I had three packs. That's it. I fed the chocolate beast in me and now I am fine. Have a great week!

Favorite thing to order at your favorite restraunt?
I'll order the grilled chicken with the steamed or grilled seasonal veggies or tortilla soup with no tortillas or cheese added (then it's just chicken soup with veggies). I don't want to look at a salad at a restaurant. Fish or shrimp or crab legs sometimes. Now I'm hungry.

LA Weight Loss
Some of the franchises are closing or changed to Pure Weightloss, which those are closing. If your center is open it may be corporate owned or a better managed franchise.

Need Advice on Switching Plans
When I originally started this program I started on what was referred to gold. On that plan you ate 2 proteins, 3 veggies, 3 fruits, 2 starches, 1 dairy, 1 fat and 2 lites. The amount of protein was sufficient as well as the other food. Your current weight was what I started at. I don't know what plan 1 looks like, but if you choose to not do the lites, you should get more food. Do what's best for you and your body. If anything you'll switch if you need too.

splenda
Here it is about $4-5 for a small bottle of it. It is a clear liquid. Not sure if it comes in a powder form.

Stevia is another alternative to Splenda or Nutrasweet.

protein
I like to use egg whites scrambled with a portion of my cheese serving for the day, mixed with salsa. It's good.:)

Limited Proteins and Starches
I'm hungry...as always. I am using the oranges this time around. I like it better, it seems that I have more to eat than just vegetables. I've also been doing the lemon water. We'll see.

L.A. Lites Alternatives
Yes you can do the program without the lites. Where is your copy of the contract? In some of the contracts it states that the lites are optional. If you choose to not utilize the lites on the program they won't guarantee your weight loss. They have clients that are medically ineligible to use the lites, but still do the program. I would fight that. The only problem is that if they say your right they could give you poor advice when you go in for counseling.

Home scales that are accurate
Here's my dilema, I have a weight scale that is about 6 months old. It's the old school type, the one with the arrow and the number wheel. I had a digital, but that broke and gave inconsistent readings. Well, the other day I weighed myself and it read 120. I step on it again, but placed my feet at a different angle. The scale read 123. Did it again and it read 125. You can see my dilema. Does anyone have a home scale that they can recommend that is reliable? Help. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Luna Bars
Brandi I like the pecan pie. I've also tried their smore? I can't remember the exact name, but I tried most of the flavors and like most of them.

Portion Plates
Brandi I don't mind doing that, though the center I go to in Austin has been out of them the last few weeks. I'll call them and see if they got any in and will let you know. UPDATE: I just called the center off brodie oaks and she said none of the centers in Austin have them yet. She'll call me when they get some.

Vacation hints (please help)
Brandi, I packed fruit for snacks. As far as veggies go, if you eat out order the seasonal steamed veggies instead of the standard rice/potato sides. Ask that they not bring bread, chips etc. to the table. McDonald's has fruit salad on the menu. That's a quick way to get in fruit if you are doing fast food at times. If you are going to be outside alot you'll get your water in easily enough. The hardest for me to get in is my dairy while on vacation. Use the individual cheese sticks. They are each 1 oz. Good luck. :p
