Run the RDI calculator and see what it gives you; usually it's a little high and you can manually enter your own value circa 2,000

2000 Calories
Just a random thought: to me 2,000 calories sure does sound like it should be enough for the average person on an average day. For me, it's great to have a calorie number or % as a benchmark. Len

New to Fat Secret - following the Adkins diet plan.
Certainly don't give up, never, ever! For me there's good carbs and bad carbs and not really a strict atkins approach. But am sure that's not the purest approach. Hang tough.

Time: Why Exercise Won't Make You Thin
I've always belived it's 90% diet and 10% exercise. And now it's even more clear that the harder your workout the more high energy food you want (and feel entitled) to consume. Just doesn't stack up. For me best exercises is moderate walking with a good podcast or buddy.

Eating Organic to Lose?
In the long run I think eating organic will no doubt help you in many ways but I would be suprised if it made a big difference to weight loss. The other issue I see is related to what 'organic' really means, my guess is 90% of the time it is just marketing so buyer beware I say.

Hey Cookie Jar Get Lost
Just battled the cookie jar and won!!! (for now). Unscrewed the lid, took a big sniff, and did it back up again. Decided it really wasn't worth it, feels good.

Rest after 1/2 marathon?!
I did a 1/2 marathon back in '04 (unfortunately my running days are now red rover), I took off about 5 days to let my body recover before getting back on the road. My only advice would be to listen to your body, if you're not too sore then I think it's fine to start some light runs. Good luck and take some pictures!

Miracle Noodles 0 carbs 0 calories
A friend mentioned these today, I really must try them, they just look like Angel Hair Pasta but obviously are not the same. Lots of fiber and not much else... what could they taste like?
