Instant miso soup from the asian section is about fifty calories and does the same thing for me, and is soo good.

HELP!
I've gotten into that cycle, it is hard to break once you're in it, but if you haven't been to fast food in weeks those weeks easily turn into months. Take it a day at a time, and find other destressors to occupy yourself when you're feeling that way.... music, a book, movies, talking to a friend, giving yourself a pedicure, some bejeweled, whatever takes off the edge and gets you over that hump.

Fustrated!!
@kandha: most doctors just reccomend not to go under 1200, you are lucky you can get away with eating that much, i couldn't eat 2400 cal if i tried!

I gain a lot of water weight whenever i exercise, when I am training really hard I try to weigh myself only once a week, right after rigorous exercise your muscles will flush with water to eliminate the lactic acid from your body, and rebuild, it can create a mess on your weight history chart. But other than that, I wouldn't be mislead by what this site says you are burning with exercise, I find it runs quite high. And studies show that most people overestimate how many calories they burn through exercise. That green arrow just means you have a calorie deficit for the day, which you should have everyday.

My Daily Allowance
http://www.freedieting.com/too... This is the one I like, I am very bound to agree, when I saw the recommendations on this site and how much it thinks I burn, even only counting in exercise and sedentary time, not all that I do at work, it was more than I was already eating.

calaries per day?
http://www.freedieting.com/too... Try this one, personally, and from what I have heard from others on this site, the cal reccomendation on this site runs WAY high.

Adjusting your goal weight?
Go to "enter food" and then click on the grid of the rdi on the bottom of the page. It will give you the option to either change your RDI using their tool or enter your own.

I need some help...
My mother is very overweight also, I realized in middle school that I was starting to be heavier than most of the people around me, and did not want to end up in her shoes.... but trying to figure out what healthy eating looks like when you have never been reaised with a good example is sooooooo hard. I never had an idea of a healthy meal when i started out, what I had always seen was fast food for lunch, a bunch of munching in the afternoon, a large dinner and maybe more late night snacking afterward. When I first started to try to loose weight I thought it just meant not eating. My favorite guide is from harvard med school, i found it during a health class i was taking, it is a adjusted pyramid. I try to plan my meals around that base while counting calories. And veggies veggies veggies! Keeping meals simple just having veggies and lean meat and rice or potatoes around makes dieting sooooo much easier. Just throw a couple things in a pan with some seasoning or marinade and throw on the grill and you are good to go.

Sorry, I do not understand
I feel like they set the RDI really high on this site, there are a lot of free sites on dieting around that might give you a better idea of what your rdi should be. Personally i dont really track my exercise, because i dont feel like whether i work out or not should change my eating or give me an excuse to eat more. I would try this site for a better reccomendation of daily calories. http://www.freedieting.com/too...

Motivation. I want to know simple tricks!
It really is all about those first two weeks for me, once i start seeing results i am in for the long haul.... I like to just check in on fatsecret when i get home from work and look around the message boards, just to distract myself and get myself on the right course, when i get home from work is always the hardest and that seems to help a lot.

ive lost 3lbs. but cant get any futher please help need comets
Agreed with the patience thing... that is THE single hardest part of loosing weight for me. Your calorie intake seems to be at a really healthy maintainable level, I wouldn't change much there, but maybe increase workout intensity. I have noticed that higher intensity workouts, even if they dont last as long make great strides.

Tracking Body Fat & Lean Tissue
calipers all the way... they are way more accurate than scales, and only cost about five dollars when you order them on line.

Calorie Breakdown Graph
oh this is apt to start a huge disagreement! everyone has different opinions on this but a lot of people would say to get at least thirty percent protein, and aim for fourty, especially for a man. About the carbs and fat there is huge disagreement, but i have never really seen a difference from anything except upping protein.

thinking of trying the 17 day diet plan
yea, i checked out the book for the 17 day diet, even though it doesn't show calories I could gauge from what you were supposed to eat that the calories would be really really low, and I have gone too low on calories before, and it really just seems to eat away at muscle and make me too tired to exercise. I understand the idea of a diet kick start for motivation and so you can start to enjoy results right away, but a lot of times it works the other way around and you end up falling off the wagon hard.

Never hungry anymore?
i think the term "starvation mode" is used much too loosely these days, you do not go into starvation mode after skipping one meal, but one of the first signs your metabolism is shutting down is when you aren't hungry anymore, try a bit of high calorie replacement like protein bars to get yourself moving again.

Only Exercise, No diet.

Vitamins
I take one vitamin with breakfast (the vit B makes me too wired at night) instead of the two suggested on the bottle, you dont need to add a hundred percent of everything if you are already eating a balanced diet, and that doesn't mess with my stomach as much.
