messed up menstrual cycle?
i have had my period for 2 weeks now, with very heavy flow. has this happened to anyone else on Atkins?. could it be the diet? I'm 43 years old and have never had this happen before.

well, to tell you the truth. the er doctor was an ass!!. he did the ekg and said i was fine. i tried telling him about the diet and all the meds i was on, but he seemed disinterested. so i'm going to go to my dr.

thr dr. did check my potasium and it was fine. but i'm also taking lasix for high blood pressure and water retention. he did not say anything about that. but i'm wondering.

has anyone ever had heart palpitations as a side effect of this diet?. i've been having them constantly for 2 day's now. i went to the hospital and they cannot find a reason for it. just wondered if it could be from the diet.

thanx for the response. i will get a food scale when i go shopping, it's late and i'm stuffed from dinner. so i won't be eating anything else.i think i need veggies w/ more carbs. that's what i'll shoot for tomorrow.

I also sit at a desk all day. I eat constantly. Grapes, apple slices, carrot sticks and water. I always have fruit/veggies and water within reach. Has helped me lose over 65 pounds.

Cut the carbs, sugar, HFCS, and that includes fruits (for a bit). Get rid of the carbs and your body will change. Read labels. Sugar is everywhere, ketchup, pickles and not to mention a ton of sugar ...
