Grossest thing you've ever eaten.
Remember when you were a kid, and you'd eat like a ... young goat? You'd eat anything. ANYTHING! What's the grossest thing(s) you've ever eaten as a kid. (I assume you don't eat gross stuff as an adult, but if you do, feel free to join in!) Me ... Raw hotdogs and raw hamburgers.

Tracking what you eat is a big advantage. It also helps you to plan, even if it's something "bad." I already input my Dunkin Donuts Coffee Coolatta for a snack. :o Also, I think the number is 3,500 calories per pound. P.S. I grabbed a [b]muffin [/b]left over from a meeting at work, so I input the muffin and will save the Dunks for tomorrow.

CICO does it matter??
The junk food is considered empty calories. Oh, there may be a smattering of fiber or protein, but they call it "junk food" for a reason. If I want, for example, to grab an ice ream cone from the ice cream stand around the corner from my house, that means I'll have to eat less fish / dairy / veggies / fruits to keep to my goal of 1600 calories per day. What to do? Well, the next time, I'll order the kiddie cone, or I'll grab a single-serve from the supermarket. Good luck! Julie

Someone once said, "Planning is more effective than willpower." I find it easier to plan my meals ahead of time. And if I want to have a 'treat', I add it to my FatSecret log in the beginning of the day, so it's already accounted for. My weakness is ice cream. I use the smallest dish, about 3/4 cup, so that my brain thinks it's eating a lot. Finally, write everything down. Even if you go over your allotted calories, at least you can look back and see where you can cut down.

Working outdoors...
1. What does he wear on his head? Most baseball-style caps have only small holes for ventilation. Try a hat with some mesh covering so that the heat will be allowed to escape from his head. 2. Consult your doctor. Not WebMD or Tufts or Mayo, but your own PCP; they can also refer you.

Weekend Woes. I need help!
When I go out to eat, I usually stick with salads or fish. Also, I weigh myself on Monday rather than Friday. If I weigh myself on Friday and I've (hopefully)lost, I'm tempted to go a little crazy on the weekend. Also, the planning is a great strategy.

Once a week, at the gym. Don't have weight scale at home.
