What Are You Doing Different THIS Time?
Just as many of you guy, I've been yo-yoing for the last few years. It seems that I am now on track again and I have lost around 4 kilos in about a month (Which is very good). I know there is an historic thread on how often should we weight ourselves, but this is precisely what I've been doing different. I used to weight myself only once a week at the gym; now, after I bought an inexpensive bathroom scale, I weight myself every single day. Yes, there are few days that I feel frustrated because I didn´t lose a pound, but that´s a good signal that I need to continue with this effort. Back when I did it on a weekly basis, it was even more discouraging.

Where does it go?
Seriously, I have read some other posts and articles, but for me this remains as one of the biggest misteries in life. I've been gaining and losing weight during my entire adult life, but it wasn´t until I got a digital scale and started to weight myself more frequently, that I realized how much our weight fluctuates. Seriously again, how is it that we can gain/lose 2 pounds of weight overnight, do we actually spread 2 pounds of fat in our bed, or does 1 litter of water just evaporates or is absorbed overnight?.

When you're losing weight, where does the fat go?
I have always asked myself this question, "where does it go?". I am still not able to reason how a 20 pound ball of fat just evaporates...

Avocados
It is hard to avoid browning, however, you can minimize it by using plastic wrap to cover the exposed avocado. Make sure to cover the whole surface and press any air bubbles. This works also fine with guacamole.

Jicama
I have also seen Jicama in some Chinese/Asian meals, particularly stir fry. More in the raw than cooked though.

tea make you hungry
I've been drinking hot tea lately, and I like to think that is helping me to ease the morning anxiety that makes me run to grab something to eat. I think my problem is not eating when I am hungry, my problem is more when I eat when I am anxious, and knowing that I will have a cup of tea instead of a muffin (or two), is a relief.

It was more oriented to those who drink excesive amounts of water thinking it will guarantee them to loose weight. I understand that water in excess can be harmful to one's health, but also for the environment. This was the point I was trying to make.

I think we all should contribute to change this myth. There is a big difference between "Staying hydrated" and having "All the water you can drink" as a way to loose weight.

@an00bis. I am not concerned about the glass of water that you drink. I am more worried about the four gallons that you use to flush the toilet. (Unless you live in the woods..)

Not necessarily a tree-hugger here, but I have the feeling that most of us are not very conscious about all the gallons of water that we flush down the toilet. I have lived in a place where water supply is a very critical issue, and I really get mad when I hear people just throwing the old “Drink lots of water” advice. Just my two cents. Edit: Excuse my rant, but it's very annoying for me when I see some co-workers walking down the aisle with 1 gallon jugs...two or three times a day with their respective trips to the bathroom...:doubt:

Maybe you need to change the type of exercises your doing. You may very well be losing fat, but in turn your building muscles, which way more than fat.
