lol I should've made the challenge "don't gain 15 pounds Christmas challenge!!" haha. I've lost about 5-8 pounds and I'm sort of stuck...because of the sweets and weekends that kill me, lol.

Good job to all who lost this week! I didn't lose anything, only gained 2 (but I'm not officially counting them yet, since I cheated real bad last night). It's getting harder as Christmas gets closer for me to focus.

Christmas dinners out
If you're going to a dinner party try standing up most of the time (besides at the table), such as when you're talking to people. Standing burns more calories than sitting, and that'll help you feel less guilty about carbs that you might accidentally eat (such as those in dressings or sauces).

Ways 2 get in some exercise during this busy holiday season
I agree with the shopping one...I have done more shopping these past few weekends than I have done ALL YEAR! Also, this may be more person-specific, but offer to help out at a school event (if your children go to school, or a local high school). I helped out at a wrestling tournament on Saturday and was standing the WHOLE day and speed walking between the table I was at and headquarters (in the boy's locker room!) Sporting events always need people to help sell tickets and concessions or to help with other stuff...plus you get to watch a sport for free!

I hate this not so hot feeling during induction!
I usually get really bad headaches when I start atkins, but like Sararay said, it's all just detox. It should be over soon, and remember to drink a TON of water! Good luck, Shannon!

Walls: How many pounds have you LOST? Not where are you at. I didn't keep track of the start weight everyone posted, since I figured y'all could help me out and keep track of it yourselves :) So yeah. Please post how many pounds you've lost, next Sunday. That's a good point Shannon! I usually lose 2 to 2.5 pounds while I'm asleep, so I know I'm good if I weigh less than 2.5 pounds more in the PM than I did in the AM. I'm a scale freak too.

IMO, any diagnosis like this should come with a referral to a dietician so that you understand what would work for you. You may want to contact your MD to get a referral. Best wishes!
