Have to get off Atkins and my Dr. suggested South Beach
Wondering if anyone can tell me the basic differences between these two diets. My chloresteral (sp) has gone way up during the last four months on Atkins so he suggested this might be a better alternative.Thank you! (My weight is good right now but I don't want to gain it all back. So I need a maintenance plan. Thanks again.

What's your EASIEST and CHEAPEST daily menu for induction???
A basic day for me on induction - egg, 1 slice bacon, and coffee with cream for breakfast. For a snack a cheese string. Lunch - some tuna with celery & mayo. No sugar added jello. Dinner - any meat, tossed salad and 0 calorie flavored water. Snack either a Atkins bar or no sugar added jello. Really push your water intake - it helps to clear out the fat cells. Good luck - Jane

Flaxseed Meal Carb
I listed flaxseed meal - one serving on my daily foods. On the package it says 4 carbs and the fiber is 4 - shouldn't that be 0 net carbs? It showed as 4 on my food diary in carbs. A little confused on that one -

I tried entering it as a recipe but every name I tried kept coming up as "name already taken". Any other ideas please?

Question on adding an item not in the foods list
I'm sure most of you are aware of the 60 second mims that are on most sites. The closest I could find on this list was the coffee cup muffin but the ingredients are different. 1/4 cup flax meal 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 packet splenda 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 large egg 1 teaspoon butter I don't know how to list it in the food journal if it isn't in the data base. Does anyone know how to do it so we get the correct carb rating? Thanks so much Jane

Nutrisystem Fail...
Eat real food! Why pay the big $$$ for junk. Fresh fruits, veggies and proteins. Forget that processed stuff with all the chemicals and sodium.
