Diet boost?
Sorry, there is no magical potion, powder or drink. It's the old fashioned hard work and dedication that will get you where you want to be, literally. I know it's disappointing to not have instant satisfaction but really, if you lose 1-3 pounds each weigh in, you're doing very well! 10 pounds in a month sounds about right! You're on the right track, keep your chin up! You'll get there!

Ok...guys, I think we need to take a step back. This young lady has asked us for help, and look at this forum. Insults, derogatory statements and hostile responses aren't really helping this gal. I fully understand everyone is entitled to their opinion...but think about what you'd tell your child if she came to you with this question. Please be considerate...especially of the feelings of the gal that has started this forum. :)

I hate to be judgemental, but REALLY? Sometimes it's all I can do to keep driving in the same direction! I almost feel worse when leaving the meeting! I think I'm paying WAY too much to have an unmotivational speaker... How do I get past her inability to be uplifting or inspirational? :cry: Any suggestions would be appreciated!?

If there's a dress you're wanting to fit into by then, hang that in plain site, so you see it everyday. If there's a time when you were thinner, find a picture...pin it in plainn site...find an anchor! Don't worry about what people think about you...I know at your age, that's virtually impossible because that's part of a teenagers life, but really in a few short weeks...none of it will matter. SheryIPT13 is right...it's a reflection of her own character...but more importantly how she views or feels about herself! Take care of yourself and GOOD LUCK with graduation and anything you choose to persue in life!

I discovered a blue bunny frozen yogurt...caramel praline crunch...LOVE IT! The best part is the whole container is a one serving container AND it's only 3 points! Give it a try!!

I don't know if it calculates/adds them up for you, I think you need to use the points plus calculator and add them in. I've done weight watchers for the past 18-24 months. I found it difficult to stay motivated or inspired with the leader, so I dropped the program and just did it at home...not the easiest task. If you're needing support or a recipe--give a shout! Don't be so hard on yourself! Life is supposed to be a nice balance of work and play...you've worked hard and if you want ONE lager...have ONE lager! Just remember, if you play, work it off the next day!

I need a Diet Buddy!!!
Hey gals! I found while cooking meals, that munching on frozen grapes was very helpful! Yes, frozen grapes. It's refreshing in the summer, they're filling, free points and by the time supper is ready, you're kinda full already. Another thing I found helpful was taking the kids to the park. While they're swinging, jumping, running, etc. so could I, they were tired when we'd get home, I'd put them in front of a TV...they were out cold. That gave me the time to do the workout dvd's, gardening or meal prep...sometimes just the extra time in meal prep was nice, I could sit down and think about healthier methods...I've decided I need to get back to the "before"...before kids, before marriage, before college which is why I'm revisiting what I did before...good luck gals!

Night time
Try freezing red/green grapes. They're free points, satisfying and because they're frozen it takes a little bit to chew each one...plus when it's hot outside, it's very refreshing!

Hey Dee! I'm fairly new to this site myself, but I've been with weight watchers for a while. I became pretty unmotivated and discouraged by our leader, decided to quit and to no surprise, some of the weight crept back on. I'm looking forward to shedding some of the pounds and I'm always looking for buddies! I also have a family, therefore, I thought the smart ones meals were a little out there. I didn't want to eat "differently" than my family, so I adapted some of the recipes I already had, and encorporated weight watchers into them to become more family oriented. There are very subtle changes, most of which my family wasn't able to depict...which made it a definate win, win! (I was losing weight and we were saving money by not buying the smart ones all the time) If you would like some of those recipes, please send me message...glad to help in any way I can! Jessie
