RDI calculator
Mine is really high as well on this site. I had an app on my iPod that I was using prior to this and it had it calculated a lot lower. I went with that one and changed it on here. One way to calculate the RDI yourself for starting weight loss is figure out how much you eat regularly over a few days then subtract about 200 to start with. That way you are feeling you are starving and then lower it by 100 - 200 every week or so.

HELP!!! Newly Diagnosed Celiac Disease
A lady I work with has a husband and son that have to eat glutton free as well. I am always browsing recipe websites and print for her any recipe I find that is glutton free. The Pillsbury and Bisquick websites have wonderful recipes and lots of glutton free ones that will make her feel she is eating like every one else, but still eating right. Some of the recipes include pizza, chocolate pie, chicken strips.... Not hard or complicated to make either. My co-worker uses the gluten-free Bisquick a lot to make things like bread, pie crust, pizza crust... I do sympathize, my son can eat wheat, but can't have any corn products such as corn starch, corn flour, and corn syrup.... Boy is it hard to find lunch items that a 5 year old can enjoy that doesn't have any corn syrup without making everything including fruit snacks from scratch. Thankfully no corn syrup and no gluten are becoming more popular with store-bought items.

Former Anorectic now loosing baby weight
That is a tough thing to over come. I know it is annoying to have your husband nag you to eat more (mine used to nag me to eat less), but I finally realized one day he did it because he loved me. So when I started to look at it as a way he was showing me love it didn't annoy quite as bad.

i have to do all my working out at home, husband does not approve of gym
The gym I go to has childcare there. I got my gym membership through my health insurance for a very discounted rate and I can cancel it anytime. Because my kids are under my health insurance their childcare at the gym is free.

How much carbs in a day?
I watch my carbs as well as calories since I am high risk for diabetes from family history. The rule of thumb my dr gave me is 2 servings for breakfast, 3 servings for morning snack, 4 servings for lunch, 2 servings for afternoon snack, 4 serving for dinner, 2 servings for late snack. 1 serving = 15 carbs This will help keep your blood sugar level. With this rule of thumb and watching my calories for my activity level, I am losing about 3 lbs a week.
