How Many Calories
I am determined to stay on Weight Watchers this week. I have done well so far today. Ha-ha. But I filled out my diary for what I plan to eat today and it only comes to 883 calories! I am supposed to eat 22 points (old method). Why are the calories so low, yet I'm always hearing about eating enough calories-like 1500. Thoughts?

Not enough calories
I'm trying to eat more calories, too. I have been eating around 1200 and have lost no weight! So, I changed my exercise routine and I'm supposed to eat 2100 calories today! I'm out of ideas of what to eat until I can get to the store and buy some protein powder to make a shake; maybe with a banana?

Stupid Scale!
I feel exactly the same way about my scale. I hate it and I don't think it tells the truth! I've done everything I can to lose weight, but I'm stuck ay 150-153. Like you, I feel good and I look OK but I am a slave to it. So, I get to 145. Then what?

Calories on Weight Watchers
I've been on Weight Watchers before, but now I'm starting it on Fat Secret. It seems that when I enter what I'm eating, the calories are very low...too low. But I am trying to eat 19 points. Does Fat Secret underestimate the calories?

Will I ever not FEEL fat??!!!! Do you have this issue or have overcomed it??
Yeah, Relz, that's what I do, too. I just keep saying to myself, "I'm wearing a size 6...I'm wearing a size 6....It's impossible to gain 10 pounds of fat in one day....It's impossible..."

Lotte Burk Method
As I was doing the Lotte Burk Method this morning, I wondered if the actual class taken in a studio was more intense. Has anyone been to a class? I'm thinking of doing the DVD twice: but at the same time I am trying to get some balance in my life in an attempt to maintain what I have and not obsess. As you can see, it is difficult for me...:?

The Bar Method
I have lost 44 pounds doing a variety of exercises and diets: changing things up to keep the weight loss going. I am pretty satisfied but I'm at my wit's end trying to find something to slim my thighs! I simply cannot exercise any more than I am. This has been a lifelong problem. I am going to start The Bar Method as a last ditch effort. Has anyone out there tried it? Thoughts?

New blog post- Myths of High Protein Diets
Thanks for linking to your blog post. I do have to say that eating more protein was what jump-started me to lose (at this point) 44 pounds. And I feel much better, too.

I hate my scale
Lol! Such funny comments about your scales...and so true! Death to all scales!

P90X
See if your local library has it, or maybe borrow it from a friend to check it out before you invest. For me, it was a great thing and really gave good results but it's not for everyone.

trouble shifting those last pounds, help!
I seem to be stuck at 139, too. But last year I was stuck at 149! I changed my eating and my exercise last July and it shocked my body into losing the 10 pounds. Good luck!

I need help!!!
I found a great recipe that makes tuna taste good: a "little" low-fat mayo, or greek yogurt, chopped onion, chopped celery, Dijon mustard, sweet pickle relish, chopped cilantro. You can use as much or as little of each ingredient as you like. Unfortunately, I love mayo, so it took a bit of time to get used to this, but now it tastes good to me.

Fitness and Exercise over 50
Your local library is a great source for exercise DVDs. That will keep you changing your routine and you'll get better results.

I need your help
Denise, How far are you from your goal weight? Perhaps you don't have much weight to lose and it'll be slow going now. Remember that you are gaining alot of muscle with P90X, and muscle weighs more than fat. I understand your frustration, but try to concentrate on the victories you experience and not so much the numbers on the scale. I'm talking to myself here, too!

Holiday food
I agree with k8yt. I only eat what I really love and what looks really delicious and high quality. That's why most of the time, I end up eating nothing at these shindigs, but I'll go home later and have a nice homemade treat that I really want. And that's good advice, not just for dieting through the holidays, but for the rest of your life.
