The Paleo Diet
to me, there is a huge difference...i was on Atkins for 3 years then switched to Paleo at the beginning of this year. though the food lists are similar, Paleo focuses on whole natural foods. my only issue with Atkins is they promote chemicals & artificially processed foods. but getting in ketosis is the goal with both. however, the most important thing is that it's a diet you can stick with.

Why should you weigh yourself?
I think it's a personal choice that helps keep you motivated. If weighing yourself twice keeps you focused then keep it up! Some people become frustrated if they don't see the number dropping. I usually weigh myself every morning, but only record it once a week.

homemade yogurt
i've made yogurt before, never had any problems with the cultures turning into yogurt. the only issue i had was sometimes the texture would get a little grainy. from what i read online that's from stirring it too much. i'm not sure about the taste with equal parts milk & cream. when i make mine i use 8 cups milk & 1 cup heavy cream. good luck!

Sensitive belly issue?
Has anyone heard of the Squatty Potty??? I SWEAR IT WORKS!! I discovered this website a few weeks ago through Underground Wellness. I've had problems with this for as long as I can remember, back surgery + kids. I'm not investing in their stool, I just picked up a cheap foot stool at Walmart and it works just as good. Who knew raising your feet would make such a difference. http://www.squattypotty.com/ http://undergroundwellness.com...

Not enough Calories
add more fat. you get more calories per gram than from protein or carbs. try cream cheese, mayo, heavy cream, olives, avocados, oils like coconut or olive. I don't know what phase you're in, but nuts are good too

Carbs
I think maybe you logged your food wrong. I looked at your diary and you logged a few items that may not be accurate to what you really had. like the Caesar salad. that listing may include croutons. here's how I do my food diary. if it's a single item like any fruit or veggie, look for the USDA listing instead of the Generic. if it's something with several ingredients like a salad, log each item individually...lettuce, cheese, dressing, etc if it's something I'm making a large batch of like a recipe, add that to your cookbook. this will help you figure the individual servings. if the item you're eating comes with a nutrition facts label (produce doesn't), use that info over anything else.

Egg Receipe/Breakfast
I mix mine with veggies, like an omelet. I chop up an onion, bell pepper, tomato & mushrooms. shred some squash. baby spinach is good too. store it in plastic bowls or baggies so it's ready and can pull out what I need. sauté the onions & peppers a few minutes, add the tomato, mushrooms, squash & spinach. when the spinach starts to wilt, add the eggs (I eat 3). cover & cook a few minutes. you can leave it whole & fold it over like an omelet, maybe put some cheese in the middle. I like to mix it up like scrambled eggs.

Exercise diary
you have to account for all 24 hours. it defaults with resting & sleeping. for example if you were running for 30 minutes, you did that instead of resting.

Oopsie Roll Tips
Do you know what the breakdown would be for that recipe..Or how do I find out??
the best way I've found is to add the recipe to your cook book.

Descriptions
only if there was additional info added to that item when the listing was created. you can edit any food item by clicking "Is this information inaccurate or incomplete? Click here to edit." under the Nutrition Facts label. if it's from a restaurant I would suggest seeing if they have a menu online that would describe what's in it. also, if you can get the nutrition info from that restaurant it's usually shown as prepared.

Question on Diet Calendar
green means you burned more than you ate. if you eat more that you burn then you get a red up arrow. you want it to be green :)

Newbie
this isn't specific for Atkins but log everything you eat! be honest, good or bad don't guess, measure/weigh portions so you know exactly how much you eat. when i started i was suprised at what i thought was one serving, was really 2 or 3.

FatSecret's New Daily Meal Recorder Menu
How about adding food bar codes it would make finding store bought items much easier
a bar code option would be great! i know the app has a bar code scanner funciton, but if they could link that to the website...type in the bar code # and match it to the item in the database
