Atkins products
Try online. I found it that way. I also found some other great products on a site called expertfoods.com and another called low-carb.com (with the hyphen). Lots of goodies. Have a Happy Easter.

PLEASE READ VERY URGENT FOR THOSE ON ATKINS
Sorry, here's another reply re Splenda. Sure, you can have Splenda, just be sure to count it as directed in Atkin's book.

Medication interference
I just checked out this section of the site and boy can I sympathize. I take prednisone for rheumatoid arthritis and it makes you hungry and makes it hard to lose. I think your medication is even worse, depending on what it is. I have seen people on Risperdal gain lots of weight in a very short time. Same with Zyprexa and Abilify. Talk to your doctor and, in the mean time, hang in there.

Ketchup
Perhaps you can check online availability of low carb ketchup - I'd try looking for the Heinz variety. Oh, I see that suggestion is already there. Great! Hope you can find it. Life without ketchup would be a challenge.

Greetings!
8) I am in the figuring out which diet phase and am seeking motivation. I KNOW I won't find it outside myself, but maybe a direction sign or two. I plan to start on one of the higher protein, lower carb plans. I am so happy to find this site. I think that sharing the journey will have to make it less painful, maybe even joyous on occasion. I have wonderful intentions of keeping up a journal and regular posts.

Any game with children!
From catch with jids of all ages, to Legos with the little ones to Scrabble with the older ones (even grown up kids!!). Of course, as noted elsewhere, electronic games are great for a diversion, but get outside sometimes and pull out the old board games, too. You'll be surprised how much fun it is to go back to these things sometimes. And - no evil snacking while playing! Healthy snacking is fine.

Help Others
8) Focus on those who are needy in some way (that's just about everyone, huh?) and try to help. Try to bring a smile to someone. Share what you have. Give. Love. Sing. You will feel better about yourself, too, and will probably feel less driven to abandon your own personal health plan. Give yourself credit, but don't be self-absorbed.

Look at it this way, you didn't fall off the wagon.. you just ran beside it for a day, then hopped back on..... a positive look on things works far better than a negative.
