Hey Kimmeranne...I just kind of did the same thing. There's no excuse for it, since we know what we're doing while we're doing it, but I guess you just kind of have to kick yourself in the butt and try not to go overboard again :) It's hard not to feel bad about it, but you'll feel so much better if you get right back to doing what you're supposed to be doing.

Can I eat more than 1 MIM/Day
I've heard that you can probably have two a day if you really want it and still be ok, but I wouldn't have more than that. Especially if your body is "sensitive" to fiber. Congrats on the 70 lbs! How long did that take you?

Have you lost weight on Atkins without exercise?
I don't eat any carbs though that I'm not supposed to, so I'm not sure what you mean by that :) I'm not sure what comments you're talking about? Atkins is good for me so far. And, I was just asking people's opinions on their own weight loss with and without exercise. But I definitely appreciate the info!!

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I know I need exercise, and I need to throw in some strength training. Walking is definitely better than sitting on my couch all night. I plan on trying to keep that up. Especially now that spring is coming....whenever it's not raining, I'll take the dog for a long walk. Hopefully it will also show on the scale...since that's the ultimate motivator when you've been overweight your entire life, is to see numbers fall instead of climb.

You should be extremely proud you quit smoking. I know you're aiming to lose weight too, but being that most people that quit can gain a ton of weight, I'd say you're doing ok. I quit 5 years ago, and put on 40 - 50 lbs within the following 2 years. Also, muscle weighs more than fat, so that might be a reason the scale isn't moving. And it's good you decided to track your food. That will definitely help. Good Luck :)

Well, I got bored and decided to take a walk with the gremlin. Walked about a mile I think. Guess that's better than watching the biggest loser sitting my butt on the couch. :)

Has anyone actually NOT stalled on Atkins bars?
Thanks for the article. I read a lot about it previously as well. But from personal experiences, is it stalling? I think that there is an article or research project or study on just about any topic that will show agreement with anyone's opinion. Like atkins diet for example. There's studies proving it's good, and studies saying it's not. it's ridiculous. This is why i only look so far into studies.

Do you think they stall you? I just made one for the first time the other day. Had one again today. I don't know how they'll effect me, but they're good :) well, with a little butter on it and maybe some water to wash it down with. Thoughts, fellow atkin followers?

I'm just curious. I know everyone says they stall on the bars. Has anyone ever not been affected weight loss wise, while eating them? I don't eat them often, and if I do, I only have 1/3 or a bite here and there over a few days. I'm bored...entertain me.

mmmmm.....good atkins dinner
The sausage put me over my carbs for the day, but only by a few...i'm hoping i'll be ok. Should I be worried about a few carbs?? But on to what i was posting about. If you're craving pizza...which I am all day every day, this fixes you right up. Brown some italian sausage, throw some mushrooms in there when it's almost brown. Put the browned sausage and mushrooms, or even peppers if you'd like, into a ramekin. But a couple tablespoons of tomato sauce in there, and a tablespoon of parmsan and add some garlic powder to taste. A few slices of pepperoni is good too. cover that with mozzarella and bake till golden brown on top. Totally gets rid of any pizza craving.

Aaaach! and Aaaargh!
That's a smart fix. The salt will cancel out the sugar for sure. At any rate, it will leach out enough water that you'll think you've lost a pound.
