Why is Dieting so Expensive?
I have a question: How do you get adequate protein in your diet eating as you describe? I love the veggies and fruits. Plant based proteins: peanuts and beans and ????

Fit one is right: consistency is the key--as long as it is consistently right. You are a brave woman to start a new post after the pain of the last one!!! Like you, I am bouncing up and down so I know how frustrating it is to eat properly and not see results. Bonnie

Carbs
Here!!! Here!!! Pompous arse might be a bit harsh, no, wait, it is on target. If a wife "can't keep her hands off you" just because of the weight, then there is another problem with the marriage. It is right to be happy with how one looks and proud of one's accomplishments but that "hands" comment is just wrong on so many levels. Thank you ClassicRocker--you are just right on so many levels!!

Carbs
ClassicRocker has it right! None of us can MAKE someone change their minds--present your beliefs, research, ideas, successes/failures--but conclusions are for each individual. Everyone is not the same, is not motivated by the same things...however, very few are motivated by the type of brow-beating and put-downs expressed in these posts. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AND HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Weight not coming off
Of course the weight is not coming off--add at least 500 calories per day--in fruit, veggies--more veggies, lean protein...up your activity by at least 20 minutes a day and you will move that weight down

All my food in one location
there is an easy way. if you ate it for dinner when you recorded it, then go to the dinner list, highlight the item, then on the right hand side it will say dinner--but you click the drop down box to choose lunch, snack, breakfast and hit add. Once you see the box, it is really easy

Recipes
When I actually submit a recipe, I try to suggest additions, changes to help with different dietary needs and tastes. If I change a diet significantly, I retype it and add it to my cookbook

Yep!! I am 62, jldjr is my husband and he is 63...I also have a buddy in Texas who is in her 60's

What plays the villain?
You are doing great...they do make chocolate covered pretzels in 100 calorie packages. There is not a lot in there; but it satisfied that craving and I can have a package every day!!!

A bit frustrated
If carbs were just carbs then ppl who are insulin resistant wouldn't do as well as they do on a reduced carb lifestyle. It's scientific and it just works.
