*Winter Carb Cravings*
Great article....I was wondering why I wanted so much bread and rice! I'm having trouble with the workout part of the equation. I'm so tired when I get home that all I want to do is eat and sleep!(Carbs) I go to work at 6:30 am and get off at 2:30pm, great hours, but I'm to tired to use them except for housework and cooking. Oh well I'll find a program that's 15 minutes or so and try that in the afternoon.

Suitable snack?
:) It's round and brown and easy to peel with a vegi peeler. You might find it over by the brocoli or brussel sprouts at you local supermarket.Just ask the produce manager if your store carries it.:)

Healthy Supplmenets
Calcium and Vitamin D ...these are essential for healthy bones! Also there's a vitamin company on-line called swansonvitamins.com they have a wonderful multivitamin with or without iron, it's a softgel and easy to swallow.

What's Your Motivation...?
:) My motivation is to have a good life ...I want to be healthy and fit st 50! It's bad enough getting older but fat too? It's to much to handle. So here I am ready to meet the challenge. This is s good thread because sometimes motivations changes...I know I always want to be healthy but I also want my confidence back and that feeling of control.

Fatsecret one of the 5 best websites . . . . . .
I think thedailyplate.com is the best place for calorie counting...it has an incredible data base..with fast foods included. But fatsecret is the best place in the world for support and accountability.

Has anyone considered Gastric Bypass?
:) My cousin and my sister had the procedure and they are both extremely satisfied with the result's My sister is down 48 lbs (she had the operation in May!) I told her that I thought it was chicken to have the operation because the rest of us still have to diet. I also said the I could have been eating anything and as much as I wanted for 10 years then have the operation and poof the fat is gone! When I told her this she seemed to understand. I'll still struggle losing weight the old-fashion way. But I am really happy for my sister because her health was suffering..(diabetes, gurd,) And now the symptoms are gone! I hope this doesn't sound bitter because I'm really happy for them, just a little jealous I guess.

Emotional-Stress Eating
:)Teachers are responsible for the lives of our children....they teach our kids about life and learning...I know for a fact that teaching is a stressful and demanding job. I also feel teaching is a calling and so you are caught in a catch 22. Remember how special you are, so loved , needed and wanted! Go easy on yourself and cut yourself some slack. Good Luck and take care.;)

Self-sabotage
I have lost over 14 pounds and only 1 person has commented on my loss. Whats up with that? Wait my husband commented that I look a little slimmer...I know that I have lost because I can fit into some smaller pants than I used to. I guess we have to be strong and not care what other people think of us...just stick with it and be happy for ourselves:roll:
