Huh, so if I do my two hour workout, that's three days of maximum points? It certainly doesn't encourage one to exercise! That's cool though. I'm actually pretty happy to be monitoring my actual calorie intake here, so I'm keeping an eye on this...my goal is to burn about 1k calories per day more than I eat (that's about 2 lbs per week), but if it's a little more and I'm not hungry I don't go for the gusto. I'm concerned about undereating especially given that my exercise routine is relatively new to me, and also that I've been in starvation mode before and it doesn't exactly do wonders for my psyche.

Foods you can't live without
Smart Beat Smart Squeeze Butter (0 pts - can only find it at Shaw's) Thomas' 100 Calorie English Muffins (1 pt) Cliff Z Bars (for kids) (2.5 pts each) Light Italian Bread (1 pt for two slices) Kraft Fat Free Cheese Singles (.5 pts each - not bad if you melt them) Breyer's Fat Free Double Churn Ice Cream (1 point for 1/2 cup!). Sometimes with a 20 calorie cake cone. YUMMY DESSERT!

Moleman--according to my little slidey thing, depending on your weight, you can earn up to 13 points a day exercising for two hours (I know this only because it's exactly what I've been doing). When I was regularly attending meetings I wasn't exercising, so maybe I missed it, but you can only earn 4 points a day by exercising? I would be worried about undereating in that case (thereby inviting starvation mode), since I'm giving myself only an extra 9 points and I still only eat a thousand calories under my exertion.

What's so good about slim?
I've noticed these things: The sex is better. Finding clothes that fit properly is super easy. And you can shop at pretty much any store. I find that I get sick (um, like, after dinner tummy sick) whenever I eat fatty foods. I used to think I had Crohn's disease it was so bad, but it hasn't been a problem since I started eating low fat! If this is a problem you have, you might benefit from this kind of diet.

olive oil question
Um . . . the lettuce is free, the salt is free, and olive oil is about a point a teaspoon. The big thing with salads is to measure your dressing. I found that Good Seasonings makes a dressing mix that is free in terms of points with no oil--and I swear you won't even notice the oil is gone! I make it with balsalmic vinegar just to be extra fancy. ;)

Aunt Flow Question!!!!
I've just started weighing myself regularly again, but when I was attending meetings, I saw that those weeks I wouldn't gain at all, but I also wouldn't lose. The following week I'd see a double loss (so what was usually 2 lbs was more like 3 or 4). Then again, I was RELIGIOUS to the points system, and I don't think I gain much in terms of bloatiness anyway. Hmm...looking back on my response, it doesn't seem to be terribly informative. I guess my takeaway is this: if you're keeping to your points, you don't have anything to worry about.

What Are/Will Be Your Reward For Weight Loss Goal?
Oh! I totally have been rewarding myself at every 10 lb mark with these totally awesome hair pieces. I'm getting my second one later this week (though it's overdue--I'm actually closer to 30 down than 20 down). Here's a pic of me in the old one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/e... Oh! And I totally hear Deserve Victory on the berries--I think of them as a super expensive, but super non-guilty candy bar. :d

Water?
Yeah, water is a must. It helps me out soo much, and depending on where you are in your diet, it might help keep you full. They say to drink half your weight in ounces a day, so given that I weigh 146, I should drink roughly 73 oz a day. What helped me stick to that was to buy a Nalgene bottle and vow to drink two a day. It also helped me quit smoking!

Lovely feeling, sometimes inch loss is much better than what the scales say, as they are so many variables that affect weight :)

Vegetarian
Make your own veggie burgers. They aren't hard. You can freeze them with wax paper between and pop them apart. Much less $$$ and you can control what goes into them.
