Can anyone help me out??
I have had HUGE success with the BlackBerry app. Although - there isn't as much of a selection of options on the app for foods. But it seems to sync back for me really well.

Suggestion - Edit Recipes
It would be awesome if there was a feature to edit recipe's in Fat Secret. There have been some terrific recipes that I found and use, but I make it slightly different. For now, I have just gone ahead and added the recipe as is, and once or twice i re-enter the whole thing with my changes. is there a way that we could have a feature to edit recipe's?

Not Having enough calories according to the RDI on FS
I'm wondering if the RDI advisor on fatsecret thought you were putting in pounds not kg. I'm not sure of your height or age, but just based on weight, your RDI for maintenence should be around 2500-2700 calories. So subtracting 500-1000 from that would put your calorie intake for weight loss at like 1500-2000 calories per day... if not more.

Who is following your own healthy lifestyle plan?
that's me!!! in 2005 I lost about 35 lbs by just exercising and watching my calories. I tried to eat 1400-1600 carbs a day - sometimes went over, but tried to balance it out. I look for nutrient rich foods... lots of fiber and other filling items. I also exercised quite a bit. I'm not a runner, but I got into this High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) stuff. So I would go out to the running trail and walk for a minute and a half and then jog/sprint for 15 seconds. Then I'd walk again for the same time and then jog/sprint. It worked well for me. I gradually upped the time running, but kept the walking the same. I'm at a really different stage in my life and was trying really hard not to gain all of that weight back. Right now I'm trying to use my home exercise machine at least 4x a week. And I keep in the journal here everything that I eat in a day. I don't really go for diet foods. I prefer things that fill me up and I don't worry if I have bacon or butter with my meal. I do limit the amounts however!!! I am aiming for 1600-1700 calories a day. I try to eat three meals of about 400-500 calories and then have a snack sometime during the day. Or two small snacks. And I'm trying to drink at least 32 oz of water every day. I do much better than that somedays.

question for all
One of the things that I have gotten into the habit of doing is cooking a meal for three... I eat 1/3 and my hubby eats 2/3. He isn't building muscles, but he's a bottomless pit that is skinny as a rail. It works for us. He also doesn't like veggies, so if I cook a starch/meat, I add in the veggies to my own portion. Sometimes it is SO much work and i wish he would just make his own food... lol!

Alton Brown's Four Lists
I'm really intrigued by this. Part of me wants to try just incorporating one list at a time. First, making sure I eat everything on the daily list... then trying to get the others in 3x a week.... then working on limiting the others to 1x a week. and finally, cutting out the things in the 0x a week list.

Tips for staying on track while dining out
If I have a planned dinner with family, I fast for most of the day. That way, even if I gorge on 2k calories at that meal, I am still well within my calorie limit.
