SBD phase 2 guidelines?
Thanks! That helps. I was planning on trying one item a week to start. Now I'm gonna have a hard time figuring out what item that will be lol. So you're saying you added either carbs or fruits, not both correct?

SBD phase 2 guidelines?
Hi! I'm about to go into phase 2 of SBD on Monday (YAY!) and I'm looking for a little guidance into how to introduce the carbs. A couple of other buddies on here told me to listen to my body and kind of learn which carbs work for me and don't. But I need to know if there's any limits I guess? Like how many carbs you can have in a day. (Don't worry I don't want to go overboard on purpose, but I don't want to screw myself if say, I eat a cereal that has too MANY grams of carbs and not know it!) I was reading a website that said to have one carb and one fruit daily and gradually increase to three. Does this sound right? For example if on day one of Phase 2 I add an apple for breakfast and then maybe some brown rice at dinner? What is the total limit of carbs that should be in my rice, cereal, etc. and what should the fiber minimum be? Does one piece of bread or 2 count as the "daily" intake of carbs? (I like the Nature's Own Double Fiber bread, it has 50 calories, 13g of carbs, and 5g of fiber in each slice). Sorry for all the questions...I just want to make sure I continue with the success I've had so far on this diet! :)

Sick
Ditto what Chap said...I live in Vegas too and I refuse to go out in the afternoon and walk the dog like I used to! (For BOTH our sakes!) I now take him out between 6-7. If I had my way it would be later but hubby doesn't want me out walking in the dark! Good luck with everything, I hope you feel better!

Birth Control Pills and Weight Gain
ImLuuvd, every woman is different, and while you were able to lose the weight, a different woman could have been doing everything that you did and not lose an ounce. No two bodies, metabolisms, etc. are alike. I don't think any women here in this discussion are making excuses, it was a valid question the OP asked. Not to mention the "weight" gained on BC is mostly water weight, from retaining water. Before I was on BC I never had a problem with weight! I could go on a diet for a week and get the results I wanted. I too have hypertension Bballen, (as well as minor heart problems) so hopefully I can see some results with my weight AND my blood pressure when I come off the pill.

Birth Control Pills and Weight Gain
SO weird that I came across this entry...I was just looking up birth control and weight gain TODAY! Haha I'm about to stop taking my birth control (Seasonale) to see if there's a difference in my weight. I've been on BC for 2 years and I have been STRUGGLING to lose weight, even after limiting my calorie intake, eating a healthy DASH diet, and exercising.

I totally agree with Corifeo. Very simply put, you must eat slightly less than you use and you will lose weight. I try aim for around a 200 to 400 calorie deficit daily. If you decide to make up your ...

Fell of the wagon
I wouldn't be too cut up about it. Once in a blue moon isn't going to be a major setback, as long as you get back on the wagon asap!

Hello from South Texas
When I cook at home, I create a recipe that I add to my cookbook, that way I can get an accurate calorie count, and also duplicate at a later date.
