I was just wondering... how many calories does a person burn in a day if they do nothing.
So, I plugged my question into a seach engine and found this... then I thought I would post it cuz... maybe someone else would like to know the minimum calories the average person burns without the big work out. Best Answer - Chosen by Asker Seventy calories are required per hour for breathing and basic bodily functions. That is, 70 calories not doing anything. 70×24=1680 1680 calories are required per day for breathing and basic bodily functions. That is, 1680 calories not doing anything. 2 years ago Report Abuse Asker's Rating: Asker's Comment: whoo hoo! thanks! http://answers.yahoo.com/quest...

Hello
My daughter just brought me a "Droid" and among the apps was this wonderful app which turns my phone into one of the easiest ways I have ever seen to track my diet. Love it!!! Needless to say, I am new here... hence the "Introduce Yourself" post. I am almost 44 yrs old - bday at the end of the month :-) I am married and have three wonderful children and two beautiful grandchildren. Between the Iowa winters and a back injury at work a couple of years ago... I have gained a little more weight than I feel comfortable carrying around and besides... summer is coming... and I just got 3 new swimsuits, 2 while visiting my daughter in California and one from my best friend for Christmas... so I would really like to wear them this summer. I have joined this site because A. My phone is a really cool toy and I love playing with it :-) B. I think this is a really great site to share tips, receipes, get some support and if I make a friend or two in the process of losing weight... just another added bonus :-) Great to meet you all :-)
