How much can your weight fluctuate during the day/from day to day?
Your body absorbs water. I do exactly what your dietician said, I weigh myself after using the bathroom, before a shower, the same time and in the same place every week, minus clothes.

How often should I weigh myself?
I weigh myself once a week and I measure myself once a month. Women have too many fluctations to do more than that-of course that is just my opinion. I know I don't want to be a slave to the scale, but I have to know the numbers, that is important.

Okay to Skip Meals?
Sometimes I skip meals because I am just not hungry. Eating when I'm not hungry got me up to 270lbs, so if I'm not hungry I don't eat. That also doesn't meant that I overeat the next day, either. So, I have to disagree with Jillian.

Number of Pounds Lost vs. Sizes Down
I'm not sure, but I lost 30lbs and went down a size, maybe 2. I think its more than just weight, its height, its the shape of your body-stuff like that. So,its hard to say. I'm an hourglass shape, so my pants are down to 16-18 now, but my tops are still an xxl because my arms have lost very little weight. I hope that makes sense.

Starting out
You should get excited about it. Then build on that excitement. Losing weight is what you make it. If you make it a game it can be fun. Get excited about how you want to look, how good you start to feel, and much physical progress you make.

You know, I think starting something is the hardest part. No matter how many times you start each time you may last a little longer and a little longer until you are in a stride. Everyday is not puppies and rainbows, believe me, but it does get better and easier. You're both here, so that says alot. Good luck on your goals!

Is it just me or do diets make you more emotional, i feel rubbish today!!
It's really this simple. Once you start dropping the weight it's like a revealing of who you really are. All the stuff you were trying to hide with food is now out in the open. So yes, sometimes you're emotional, but not all of the time.

Is it safe to not eat salt?
Your electrolytes consist of sodium, potassium, chloride. You need sodium to keep your body in balance. You want to keep it under 2500 grams, but you do need sodium. If you need to get the water off, sounds goofy-but drink more water, add a little lemon and see if you can find some dandelion root tea and that will get the water off.

I don't think it's about being lazy, it's about discipline. All I am saying is this, why not just make the commitment to lose it by initially eating right and exercising. As for people being over 300lbs and needing help, that's just not true. There are plenty of people on here over 300lbs or damn close that have been doing it without the use of pills or anything but discipline. To me, its simple, make the commitment to move my ass everyday and make better food choices, pills can't do that for me. If you can make a commitment to take a pill everyday, you can make a commitment to exercise and eat better every meal. I think we have just become a microwave society that wants everything right now and if it doesn't work the way we want it to, then we go find another pill or magic elixir-we have become a society of weaklings and crybabies.

My question is this: if you have to follow a low calorie diet and exercise anyway, why use the pills? It just does not make sense to me at all.

wii fit?
Wii Active is a lot more hardcore than Wii fit. Wii fit is more fun, working out but still has a light game feel. Wii Active is more like having a personal trainer.

Veggies, veggies and more veggies. The more I eat the more I lose! I've been making lots of soup with lots of veggies and ground turkey or cubed cooked chicken.
