Yo-Yo dieting
I'm right there with you. I set my RDI for 1800 and last night, was no where near it. Plus I had bailed on the exercise part. Keep trying. Keep planning. Drink your water (says me who is guzzling to make sure I get it in today). At night when you are hungry, go to bed if you can. There may be slip-ups, but keep trying. You'll make it!

FS - so addicting!! Anyone else having problems turning this off?
I leave it up at work...it's kind of like I know I have to account for what I'm eating...so unless I'm done eating for the day it's up! Also, I love the blackberry application as well. I think I use it more than I do to call/talk to friends!

Need help planning a meal - low cholesterol
Here's the menu I chose - Appetizer - cucumber slices Entree - Marinated chicken (in Italian dressing overnight) and veggie skewers. Vegetable Casserole (tomatoes, cucumbers, vidalia onion, squash and some sort of seasoning). Whole Wheat dinner roll. Dessert - Grilled Peaches (and possibly pineapple), topped with Honey Chocolate/Vanilla Ice Cream or Sherbert (individual serving size) Fla-Vor-Ice Beverages Wine (if the couple brings it) Green Tea (1/2 the sweetner) Sparkling water with sliced lemons/limes Coffee is available in Decaf and Regular. Okay, so I did weed through my buddies to the ones that are still active. Underscore you have made a difference in the way I looked at the buddy system, and I have taken a moment to email each buddy, with the exception of my husband. ;0) Thanks for reminding me how to maximize the support available here. Hello everyone...I thought about weeding through my buddy list, but then decided not to. I guess I have maybe the mentality as others do that my journal is my contact..ie, my 'news feed' to the world. I write it expressing my successes and my failed attempts. If anyone reading it feels okay to comment, great. If not, perhaps by reading the journal entries, I may have unknowingly inspired someone, or at least let them know I struggle too with weight loss. I do periodically request a buddy...only to never hear from them again. But you know, it may not be a good time for them. They may be struggling so much on their own, they don't have anything else to offer someone else. I give them a day or two and then delete the offer. I always think it is cool to get a buddy request. I always wonder what it is about my profile/bio that intrigues them. Is it we have the same current weight? The same/similar lifestyle? Or was it something truly random. Anyway...I chat with those who chat with me....is that wrong??? LOL, MightyFull

anyone using blackberry app?
I use my blackberry application all the time. It doesn't allow you to add new foods or access your cookbook - have to do that from computer. It is a huge help in tracking what I eat during the weekends and when I'm at home.

Hi - we're having some friends over this Saturday, who are working hard on lowering their cholesterol. We'd like to serve up a dinner meal that would aid them versus hender. We have boneless, skinless chicken breasts and/or hamburger patties. I really would like some suggestions on either websites or things you've tried that are good. Work late...get home late...to work out or not to work out - that is the question!
Hi, I find there are not enough hours in the day...I have more than enough projects to work on at work. I end up spending more time at my job than I do with my family. I half-heartenly want to work out in the morning, but I LOVE my sleep - and usually function better with 7 hours of rest. However, lately I don't get it. Would appreciate suggestions on exercise to reduce stress, and that can be done in a short amount of time...

TURBO JAM
I have Turbo Jam too!!! I did it for about a month, then got out of my routine. Just started back this week...and realized it doesn't take long to get out of shape!!! On the Learn and Burn I was totally struggling!!! Today was 20 minute workout...tomorrow Cardio party -> starting the advanced side workouts. Morning time works the best for me...even when I don't feel like it, I'm going to work out - like this morning (didn't get enough rest last night!). During the week, I walk with a friend - usually for about 45 minutes to an hour -- last night her husband had cleaned up the house and cooked supper for her. I released her from our nightly walk around the neighborhood last night! Perhaps if the rain holds off tonight we'll get a chance to get out there and enjoy! On a great day (ie, if we are in a 10k) we can do a 17 minute mile - just walking. Mostly we are walking about 3 mph. Great stress relief!!! I'm so glad you posted this today...God must have heard my prayer that it would be GREAT and extremely helpful if I had someone to talk to about Turbo Jam - someone who could help hold me accountable. Wanna be that person???? MightyFull :)

Birthday Traditions
What about a special pizza made of fruit? And cake...hmmm, what about angel food cake with fresh fruit on it? I've got a birthday coming up in about a month. Plus bridal showers...so it's challenging to have a different mindset, but if you think you can manage the regular --- with moderation -- enjoy. If not, you may want to plan a strategy and tell a friend who will hold you accountable for your actions!

multi-vitamins
have u tried like a generic brand multi-vitamin - performance? It's tough to swallow some vitamins - I would suggest taking with milk or coffee or something other than water. For some reason, water doesn't make swallowing vitamins easier. Though, it is usually recommended taking with water.

The celery powder is one of the less than 2% ingredients and the last one on the list, so it's the smallest in quantity. I don't think I'm going to worry about it. Something has to be used ...
