Just For Fun
I found a blog on the Website Never Hungry Always Hungry about, Spaghetti Language, or the weird thing we say either in our sleep or when half awake. It was so hilarious, I wanted to see if anyone here had any good ones to share that either you have said or have heard someone else say. Mine aren't great but I have a couple. My friend Naomi having a night terror at a sleepover whjen we were kids, "NONONO! MONARCH BUTTERFLIES!" My sister when woken up for school, "I'm too tired to be reeeeal..." My husband often swears or laughs loudly in his sleep and it's common to hear bits and peices like "pull that truck over here," or "It's stuck in the mud!" He's at work so much he dreams about it all the time! Boring I know.. I'm sure ya'll have some funnier ones. I'm going to find that website and tell you some of those or post a link to it, they were so funny I was laughing my head off, and it takes a lot to make me laugh out loud, especially at a tv or computer.

Sniffosmelliocity: The state of craving foods because it's there and smells good, not out of hunger. I made that up off the top of my head. Aren't I brilliant? ok not so much. Here's one my sister coined when she was two: Deckon: anything distasteful or gross, sticky or messy.

Stressed out moms!
You know, as soon as I feel I am doing something right for a change, and making a difference for the better, my husband has to go an bring me down with his constant negativity. I felt good about the decision to help her until he started his ranting. (sorry..I'll stop MY ranting now..)

Thanks. I know you're right. One day at a time is all we can do. I have prayed about it before and I definitely felt led to offer her help at the time. Maybe I am just being selfish. After all, she's much worse off than I; she has no one. And I'd rather the baby be with family(she'll also be with Brandon's aunts and cousins during the week) than with strangers. It's just overwhelming when I start thinking about everything this is going to affect, even just a couple time a week. For example, since we only have one reliable vehicle(and becauce I don't have a valid driver's licencse :X), we have to go to get groceries together on Sunday, my husband's only day off many weeks. Ok so it takes at least two hours to get that done, and my church gets out at 12:00. I start watching her at three. That is going to cut it way too close. am I going to have to skip on church so we can get things done? That is my only social interaction for the whole week.

Stressed out moms!
I have a pretty decent bedtime routine for Kaelyn, bath, snack, music time or story, brush teeth, kisses and usually a bear hunt(for her stuffed koala, lol) I just need to geti t going earlier. It especially is hard to do when she hasn't seen her daddy all day and he gets home late, becaue he's dying to spend time with her and she gets a second wind when she sees him. I wish he wouldn't work so late. The last two days he didn't get home until around 10. They are working their butts off over there trying to get ahead for the 4th of July three day weekend. I don't now if it's worth the trade off! Oi. All I have been thinking about today is WHY OH WHY did I agree to watch a NEWBORN in addition to a two year old. This is hard...really hard. And this is probably an easy day. I felt bad for my sister in law, she's a single mom, on food stamps, working full time jsut to keep her head above water. Brandon about blew up last night when I reminded him about watching her baby(I don't know why, he's known about it for ages). He is pissed off because he says why should we have to suffer for her mistakes, and sacrifice the only days we have to spend together. And yes she has made a lot of mistakes, her judgement in guys is notoriously horrible. But it's his sister, I though he would want to help her out. On one hand, I have to agree with him. It kind of seems like I'm getting taken advantage of. I was supposed to be getting paid, but it's not looking good for the home team. She never applied for child care help like everyone has been telling her to. on the other hand, she IS family. Isn't that what family is for? And isn't it just the right thing to do?anyway I hope I made the right decision, and this doesn't end up tearing my own family apart. I'm so confused..and depressed.

Salutations to all
Out of curiosity, what is your height? I'm 5' 6", and you are the same weight and jean size I was when I started on fatsecret. I hit my goal weight of 120 a while back but have gained about 3-5 back, and it has been up and down all month due to stress eating. But I am in a size 4 or 5 at 123, and the last time I was in a size 2 I was 115. Thats my goal. I am finally getting back on track and away from the stress binging!! When I got married I weighed 135, and felt ok about myself my not comfortable in a swimsuit(or with having sex with the lights on..still not)The first year we were married I gained 25 pounds to 160 and was in a size 10! I hadn't been on a diet seriously before that point, but I definitely was feeling fat when I realized that my eights I'd been wearing didn't really fit..they were stretched. At that point I actually weighed more than my husband, who was a skinny 150 at 6 foot. Talk about depressing. It's so hard when you start out because it seems like such a long road, but if you stay positive, forgive yourself when mistakes happen, and focus on being healthy, you will do great and reach you goals! best of luck to ya! :)

i posted this in the diet talk and got like 10 looks but no replies....can some one help me PLEASE?!
Do not EVEN worry about it..your number is an average of what you have eaten lately, the other number is an average of calories the other memers on the same diet, and it is VERY innaccurate. Not everyone posts everything they eat, for one thing. Anyway, there's no sense in comparing your calorie intake to other people's, epecially when they are all different heights, builds, and sex. A lot of factors come into play as far as how many calories you need, as I'm sure you are aware. Don't get caught up in trying to keep up with others, epecially according to that awful thing. It's completley useless, I think, I wish they would get rid of it.

Stressed out moms!
thanks everyone, I will definitely try to get her going to bed earlier. Tonight I lost track of time dancing with her, and didn't get her in bed til 9:30. i think I could pull off 8:30 if I could just get the routine rolling earlier. I think I got her a little bit too hyped up before bed..I hear her chatting to her toy bear in there, LOL!

Houmous
i would think you coulkd use either, just check the labels for added sugar, especially in the lower fat version. Just don't go overboard with it and it should be fine!

Hello to all my buddies!
Getting back on track is rough..I'm there, and been struggling ever since we moved. Adjusting to a new routine, being stuck at home with a toddler, constant bbqs and parties, and lack of exercise have all added to the problem. I keep losing and gaining the same 5, and I'm ready to get back on the wagon. I agree, positive thinking is key, it's hard when you feel like you've failed over and over again. But we just gotta pick each other up when we fall and support each other! We're all in this together! :)

Stressed out moms!
I got her to bed at 9 last night so that was an improvement! She didn't wake up super early either. I put up curtains in her room and I think it is helping her sleep a little longer in the morning. Maybe I could work down to 8:30. That would be nice.

I love tv, I don't care if others agree. You have no clue how much I spend on renting kids dvds right now. Anything for a moments peace. We dont have cable or even local channels. Its awful. All day long I hear. What are you DOING? what are you doing? What are you doing? I'm picking my nose. I'm using the bathroom. I'm losing my COTTON PICKING MIND?? IS THAT ALL RIGHT WITH YOU?? LOL. Kids. Gotta LOVE EM. (I also love birth control :P)

Stressed out moms!
Hey all you moms out there! I'm a stay at home of one, about to start babysiiting my newborn neice on the weekends, and I have been stuck in the house a lot lately. The cupboards are calling me a lot more when I am stuck in the house with a demanding NAUGHTY(when she's nice, she's very very nice, but when she's naughty..well you know the story)two year old. I am supposed to be potty training her and it's slow slow going. I thought it would be nice if some other moms might like to post some ideas on how to destress other than eating EVERYTHING! I always find ideas on how to take time for yourself when the kids are in bed or gone, etc, but that NEVER happens. I only have a short amount of time while she takes a nap to get housework done and work out, shower if I am lucky, and it's so late by the time I get her to bed I am usually drop dead tired. I need some ideas about how to keep form losing it during the day. So far the only things I have found that help are, dancing with her, taking a nap when she does(but I hardly ever do it), and exercise when I can. But although exercise does help me get rid of stress, finding the time to do it sometimes ADDS to my stress! Anyone have some cool ideas of how to make things run smoother and actually enjoy the day rather than dread every morning? I am so tired of being a housewife.

Birth Control Pills and Weight Gain
I gained initially, about 5 pounds when I first started the pill. I noticed an increase in appetite almost immediatly. It did even out over time, and i lost the weight after about six months without dieting.
