Oh the heat...
i completely understand! I live in houston and we are in extreme drought conditions and we've hit 90+ degree weather. I personally LOVE the heat and sunshine, however I find it much more difficult to run in! Especially when you factor in humidity from the gulf! UGH fun! I dont have any advice, I try to run later at night when its not so hot, but I work in the yard, hike, bike ride etc, during the day and just drink more water and dont push myself as hard. I've told myself its ok for the same workout to take a little bit longer as long as it keeps me from dying! But I do hate that its dropped my running pace down. Its just so hard to do! Keep drinkin the water and take more breaks

awesome, thanks guys. I did end up taking 2 days off last week. I am trying really hard to force myself to take today off too. its been a full week since I had a day off so, its time. Yesterday I ran to my own music instead of the c25k program and found I did better than I do when I follow the program. I ran much mure than I walked, I still did a warm up and cool down too. But now that puts me in a spot cause I dont know if I should keep going with the program or do it on my own ya know? All of my runner friends just listen to their own tunes and just kinda run till they need a break. I dont know! Thanks for the socks tips though. I did change socks and havent had a blister since the first one! yay! and as soon as I lose a little more i will go get some cotton free clothes too!, so far it seems my boobs are losing the most! rrrrr.... :( but My jeans did fit a bit better yesterday and a few ladies at work commented to that effect. I guess I am building muscle! Thanks for the help!

thanks guys! I know I am not literally gonna bulk up but they always put pictures of muscle-y people on the packages, ya know? Anyway thanks for the help guys! Best flavors out there? I do not at all like the muscle milk flavors, not bueno! :)

Jillians Michaels' whey protein?
i know this is somewhat off topic, but I have a real problem eating breakfast in the morning and eating enough calories for the day. I have been told by various people to try protien shakes but when I look at the info on them some of them sound scary, too many calories fat etc. I want to lose weight not bulk up like a fighter. I am also training for a 5k in septemeber and have been doing alot of running. anyone have any suggestions or thoughts? thanks yall!

thanks all you guys for your help and suggestions. I really appriciate it all. I'm not in real pain or anything my legs hurt a bit but its nothing bad, I did get a blister last night though. I think I will take today off from running and see what happens when I pick back up tomorrow. I am signing up for the Beachpalooza this weekend with my husband and some friends, its way in septemeber so I figure I am giving myself enough time to build up as gradually as I need to. I am just an impatient person and I just wanna get to where I can run more than like 90 seconds. Its embarassing to me that I cant run continuously for a period of time. ya know? anyway I really appriciate it and I think I am gonna take the day off from running, do a zumba class and start again tomorrow! Thanks again yall!

running help
Ok just got back from a jog/walk. I'm Doing the couch to 5k training. I have done it 3 full times now. Everytime I run I feel like I am not gonna be ready for the next week, so I pushed myself a little more and ran a couple of extra sets. I dont wanna push myself too much cause I dont wanna burned out, so I think I am gonna take tomorrow off?!?!? I dont know I am scared if I take a day off to rest and recoup that when I go back the next day it will be even harder. what do I do??? help help!!! Please doughter told me I was smelly so I'm gettin in the shower!

How the heck?!?!?!?!
you could very well be eating too little. that is a HUGE problem for me! I am very seldom "hungry" I eat because I know I am supposed to but it is very hard for me to break 800 calories unless I binge on junk! I love healthy low cal grainy things, and they have little calories. I have been traingin myself to eat more and more of the things I like in order to get enough calories. Once I do that I notice actual weight loss! its hard! keep trying though you'll get it!

zumba
I agree, I just got Zumba for the wii. Used it for the first time yesterday, my legs were killin me! I was sweating too! I wish everyone would just stay outta my living room though cause I dont want people lookin at me! I have NO coordination, it sure is fun though! I'm about to go hit it again in a few mins!

UGH!
I wish there was a way to add on here the hours of chasing 3 year olds around! I teach preschool and am constantly chasing my crazy class around! I dont like looking at my exercise diary or whatever cause I dont know how to put that on there! plus on an average day at work alone I get around 10,000 steps on my pedometer. ick, just venting, thanks!

Valentine's Day Parties
I know how you feel! I teach preschool, my husband teaches jr.high, and we have a 10 year old and a 4 year old. Parents always give me goodies and as much as I so desperately want them, I DONT want them. I gave my co teacher all of my goodies this year and told her to take them to her daughter! For the past few years I have told my hubby he can not buy me the chocolate hearts for valentines day. I much prefer the flowers and whatever else he gets me. I LOVE sweets it is tough for me to say no, but I have been doing very well this school year. Just wanted to let you know I get ya and agree! Good luck, you can do it!

Ok I was just wondering, I have never really liked breads. I dont eat alot of breads, and I occasionally go to chick fil a to eat, but I never eat the bread on my sandwiches. does anyone know how many calories their buns have? In all of the calorie finding research I have done I can not find the amount of calories in the original chicken and the spicy chicken sandwich without the buns. Does anyone have any idea? thanks for the help!

HELP ME!
Thank you guys for all the advise! I really appriciate it! I do think that most of this is due to my poor self image etc.. I LOVE healthy foods, my friends make fun of me because I eat crazy sounding stuff. I think my second problem is fast food. well I know thats a problem. and its odd cause I could really use the extra money I spend on FF and i truely LOVE good healthy food. So I need to get past the lazy "I dont wanna cook" thing and get back to eating all healthy all the time. and I do more importantly need to get a better self image/esteem. Plus I really dont want my kids following in my steps! Today is a new day and I am starting over!!

I have no motivation, I mean I have it in my head, and I absolutely LOATH the way I feel and look at my current weight, yet I have NO will or self control! UGH!!! How do I get the edge to just start doing it and doing it right?
