pure green coffee
Oh, and I heard one Dr. Say NOT to take raspberry ketone. It can mess up other biological systems. I don't know, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

pure green coffee
What Dr. Oz said is, it's valid, but you have to get one that is labeled either SVETOL (a registered trademark) or GCA (green coffee antioxidant). The capsules should contain at least 45% chlorogenic acid. You should take 400mg, 3X a day, 30 mins before a meal. He says, make sure you take the real thing and it DOES help. Wish I could afford it.

Breakfast
One real egg every morning is a healthy choice. Cottage Cheese, yogurt, skim milk, meat with the fat trimmed are others.

Arrgghhh plateau help!!
I see. Yes, maintenance is not easy. I, personally, can't go paleo because I have borderline kidney failure and have to keep my protein low, but I do think the Paleo Diet, done correctly, is healthy. A few of my favorite buddies are on Paleo. Sorry I misunderstood.

Arrgghhh plateau help!!
SamieSue, I'm not sure if you meant to address that info to Kingkeld. He has lost an ENORMOUS amount of weight and just had skin removal surgery. He could write a book on the healthy way to lose weight and probably should. And King, I have decided, for me at least, a calorie is NOT a calorie. If I eat lots of processed food, under my calorie limit, I gain weight. If I eat lots of veggies, fruits and whole, gluten free grains, I lose weight. I keep my protein under 20% of my intake daily and I keep it to healthy, lean meats, nuts and beans/lentils/peas. When I spike, I try to do it out of the house and not bring those foods back into the house. Congratulations. You are an inspiration to us all!

What is the best weight loss surgery to get?
You might also look into food sensitivities first. I'm 67. I was never able to lose weight and keep it off.I found out I can't eat gluten and dropped weight at about two pounds a week. Many food sensitivities can cause you to gain and hold on to weight. I would have a food panel, a gluten panel and thyroid testing done before you consider surgery. Surgery is very permanent. Mortality rate is also a consideration. It was mentioned above that one in 2000 dies. I had a friend who was one of the ones. She died three days after surgery . . . not from the surgery but from complications. Please look to other avenues before doing something so drastic. This is a wonderful site full of wonderful people who are losing the healthy, natural way. King Keld is a shining example. Good luck and good health.

Fiber
FOL, if you continue to eat high fiber, the gas will stop in about 4-6 weeks. I've been doing this for two years now, including no gluten and I'm very happy to say, I have 0 gas. I guess that explains the sinkers. LOL!

Fiber
I understood if it floats you are eating excess fat. Mine used to always float when I wasn't getting any fiber. Now that I get plenty, they drop like stones. Now I have to go look it up. Don't you LOVE the Internet?

Weight loss on your hands!!!
Before menopause, when I lost weight, I always lost in my waist, then the other places but I was always shaped like a female. This time around, I've lost my butt, thighs and upper arms and I'm still thick in the middle. That's never happened before. I now have a little old man's figure. :-)

TO MUCH REDBULL
I do coffee in the morning and green tea the rest of the day. You may have to wean yourself off of it slowly so you don't get headaches. It's worth trying to do though. Red Bull's not good for you, as you already know. Good luck.

Detox your Wardrobe
That article is hilarious. The one thing about not being able to afford anything is, you don't buy clothes on a whim. LOL! At the end of summer, I filled 10, 33 gallon bags with 15 years worth of size 26-28 clothes, all huge on me now, and sent them off to get good use by someone else. There's no going back now. I have a bunch of 24s that I can't get rid of yet because the size 20 hand-me-downs I have are just tight enough to be uncomfortable, but I can't afford to buy 22s. As for "vanity sizing," when I was young, there was nothing under a size 6. I know the populations wasn't that much bigger back then. There was no such thing as a one or a zero. Those are totally modern inventions!

Regrets Anyone?
I don't have any regrets. I really enjoyed the holidays and even though I regained some weight this last two weeks, the net loss for the year is pretty sizable. Have a wonderful new year Rune!

Keep it Simple!
Gorgeous, for me that final answer was, "I want to live." I'd been told by my Dr. to get my affairs in order. However, with all the diagnoses I had, none of my Dr.s had put two and two together and figured out the root of all the problems. I've been a Celiac all my life and had never been diagnosed. Until I quit eating gluten, I couldn't lose an ounce. Once I quit eating gluten, your equation worked just fine. Calories in = calories out. I was 66 years old when I figured it out and made my Dr. test. Many of us have medical reasons that make losing difficult, if not nearly impossible. If you never figure it out, it can be frustrating. You're very lucky it seems to be that simple. Like KK said, you may find at some point that you slow down or hit a plateau, no matter what you eat or don't eat. I lost really well for over a year and than hit a plateau that lasted for three months. Good luck with your trip down. It sounds like you've made a great start.
