I have a new smoothie maker...any ideas?
I use fresh fruit like peaches, strawberries or blueberries add flavored whey protein powder, ice and water and make some pretty good low carb low glycemic, low calorie high protein desserts.

Blackberry Version Update DOA
I just downloaded the update from App World. When attempting to run the error "Error starting FatSecret_Calorie_Counter: Module 'FatSecret_Calorie_Counter-1' attempts to access a secure API." is displayed. This is usually the result of "unsigned" code from a software developer being included with the production release of an application. My Blackberry version of FatSecret is now dead until someone fixes this. Bummer.

Is anyone using the Calorie Counter for BlackBerry from Fatsecret?
I got a message in relation to the height issue from the mods that went: To fix the goal height issue, we have uploaded a new release (version 1.1.0.0) to BlackBerry App World. The release is currently pending and awaits testing by BlackBerry and and upon passing the technical testing, will approve it for App World and once approved, it will become an upgrade for users running version 1.0.0.0. So it's coming, someday...
That's great, in addition to BB App World why not make the .jad file down loadable from your site? It will be easier to get for many folks. In addition if you put it on your site it will get listed in the OTA apps directory on crackberry.com, blackberryforums.com and others. It will almost certainly give you wider distribution and usage!

Calories
Don't get too stressed over the calorie count numbers. It takes some getting used to it. On my plan, about the same time I started losing consistently I was experiencing an intense desire to eat just about everything. My "guide" made it real easy, she told me I can eat 1000 calories a day plus whatever I burn doing exercise, BUT AFTER I do the excersize. The 1000 number seams small, but it gets even smaller when you think about me being 270 lbs with a RMR around 2500. As a point of comparison, the daily deficit I was running was almost what some people should be normally eating to maintain. It seams odd to send a 'starving' person out into the cold cruel world an tell them to burn whatever energy they felt like burning, but it worked for me. If I wanted to go out and have a steak with the boys, I found the hour and a half to walk 8 miles. If I wanted to eat a fourth small meal, I could get away with less than half an hour on the the elliptical. If I wanted to eat the meager amount of food you get for 1000 calories, I could do nothing but wath TV. The weight is still going away, but more important I think I started building the good habit if modulating the both the amount and the type of food I eat to match my activity. ***The exercise definitely was key in stopping my body from shutting down on such a restricted calorie diet*** What I am really trying to say is that calorie counting isn't as much about the number of calories that you are eating as about how many less than your body is burning. Count from the burn down, rather than the bottom up. Keep at it and best of luck.

Atkins - Why did I gain?
I did Atkins previously and had great success with the loss(50+), but never quite got to goal, and never was able to maintain. I do clearly remember that after the initial 3 weeks or so the weight very unpredictable except on a week or two week basis. I primarily attributed it to hydration changes. When this was happening I felt like I was losing the fat, but gaining water. My clothes were continuing to get looser, even though weight was increasing. And yes, as you lose, you will be burning less energy every day, and you will have to be conscious of the calories you eat if you want to continue to drop weight.

Atkins misconceptions

food calander
Put the food in a Recipe (far right). then once that is done, you can add it to your plan. Otherwise, you can put the components in, but better to do recipes.

Veggies, veggies and more veggies. The more I eat the more I lose! I've been making lots of soup with lots of veggies and ground turkey or cubed cooked chicken.
