Spacey, your so right on its not even funny. People have a hard time reconciling their actions and the results that will inevitable come. If you break down being overweight into such simple terms it rattles people's minds and takes away their long held excuses. Have you ever watched survivor on T.V.? Its amazing that when you have little or no food you drop weight. Its so simple but if we accept that fact then we just burden ourselves with the idea that it really does come down to your hand and mouth. Control that and you have won the game. Easier said than done for most folks. In fact I would go so far as to say that people like the idea of being on a diet just so they can say they are trying. Of course you can never can either do it or not. There is no concept of trying...the act of trying implicates the action that is "doing". Alright, getting down off my soapbox now. Happy Holidays~

explaining what you eat!
Really when you eat a clean diet and or paleo your body speaks for itself. I let that do the talking. Having blood work done along the way is another great way to track your progress and measure your results. The numbers dont lie!

Veggies For Breakfast
I love the veggie hash onions, bell pepper. Spinach or kale, garlic and ginger. Sauté and cook down the onion garlic peper and ginger. Throw in the kale at the end. Set aside. Make bacon and two to three eggs over easy. Add some Braggs amino acid to the sauté and then plate. Add eggs on top with 4 or 5 slices of bacon and you have a great start to any day.

There are no diets that will get you what you want, only a fundamental lifestye change hit the nail on the head. 1 small change at a time is all humans can really handle if its going to be long term change. The majority of folks get all excited and try and change 50 things all at once with eating and dieting. They are doomed to failure and that's been proven again and again in scientific literature. The process is simple....the execution is hard. 1) Eat less carbs 2) Eat more protein 3) Eat more vegetables 4) Lift heavy things 5) Get good sleep Wash, rinse, repeat.

So many people say "I need to lose weight" and then they investigate the latest diet and stick with it for a week or two and then fall off the wagon and feel miserable. Wash, rinse, repeat. Sound familiar? To manifest true change you need to examine your underlying lifestyle, not just the food your consuming. Diet is short term. Is that what you really want? Or do you want long lasting lifetime results? Go look at my weight chart. I don't belong to a gym, I just choose food that my body knows how to process and makes the most efficient and lean "me" I can be and so my weight stays almost the same over time. Effortless weight management, boundless energy, it can all by yours if you WANT it to be. Change is not easy, but if you really are looking for something that's going to last then CHANGE (mentally, psychically, emotionally) is really what you need, not another diet. Need help? Goal Weight???
To tell the truth when I looked at those tables I was amazed. I am 6"5 tall and weigh in at 165.8 lbs and 7.3% body fat. I think most people can go a lot lower than what they think they can. Certainly I never thought I could maintain such a low weight but thanks to living a Paleo lifestyle its no problem. Even going back to Freshman year in High school I weighed 180-190lbs. Find the range and then work within it depending on your goals. Good luck!

Hiking Half Dome in August!
Best of luck in your preparation. I climbed half dome twice and it was an excellent adventure. The first time was straight up and down in the same day which is a real hike. The second time we stayed at little Yosemite valley which is the half way point and then did the last ascent on the following morning. All in all I preferred the second way as it was much more relaxed and I was able to leave most of my gear back at camp. Have a blast!

Over Daily Crabs under Veggie Carbs??
I concur. If you stay under 50g I think you have nothing to worry about at all. Those veggies will do you more good than the harm that will come from 10 extra grams of good carbs.

Do you eat all your calories?
I eat around 10-12 carbs/day ... it easy to keep track if you use the calculator on site ... you don't have to weigh anything its all been done for you ...if you don't keep track its much harder ...
