I have wondered that myself. Hope to hear some opinions on that. I guess I would agree that it stretches some muscles, but I had a hard time getting up my heartrate with it.

New to Forum forever trying to keep weight off
Thanks for that, OneDay! I always kind of thought that I did not easily form new habits that quickly...not good ones anyways. It is nice to know maybe some of us take a little longer.

help with constipation
This is not the healthiest thing to post on this kind of site, but a diet Dr. Pepper always works for me!

I'm sorry if this sounds obvious, I don't mean for it to sound that way, but are you weighing your food? I find that the difference between weighing mine versus using a measuring cup can be way, way different. (pun...sorry) Or, maybe, it could just be one of "those" weeks when you do things right but they go wrong anyway. Either way, Good luck this week, Rambler.

Fasting with One Meal a Day during the Week
I started intermittent fasting on Dec. 28th. I am easing into it in a way. I am doing a 18:6 window. I am not ready to put anymore food restrictions (other than eliminating the Diet Coke) other than fasting just yet. I intend to ease into this plan for now. I do try to eat nutrient dense meals for lunch and supper. I have been surprised at my lack of cravings. That is pretty unusual for me. Good luck, NOO6767!

A 12-Hour Eating Window for a Healthy Weight
Hi, Dee. I just learned about the IF eating plan recently. I am just starting my second week with it. I feel hopeful. So, far and it has only been a week, I feel so much more in control of my food and body. I have lost almost 2.5 lbs. I have dieted enough to know that might not mean too much right now. Still, that feeling of being in control of myself where food is concerned, is something I have not felt in a long time. Certainly, not with the other things that I have tried. I just wanted to wish you and the other fasters good luck.

What a let down.
I feel for you Michael. I am not very fit and it 'feels' scary to me to get my heart rate up. I think you will be surprised as you lose weight, that exertion gets a little easier. At least, it is starting to with me. I agree with summer. You can take off weight without exercise, it just takes longer. I am not were versed in which exercises that you could do without causing further injuries, but I bet there are a few. If your insurance allows, maybe you could ask your doctor to prescribe a few visits with a physical therapist? S/he probably knows exactly how to address your health concerns. At any rate, I will say a prayer for you. That is where real strength comes from anyway.

Counting Steps as Exercise on FatSecret
Oh, I will be watching for answers on that one myself. Even if it did not calculate anything, it would be nice to have a place to record them all in one place.

Binge Eating
LuC2, you wrote what I was trying to express better than I did. I don't forget about my ultimate goals on my cheat day, but I get some of the things that I favor too.

Binge Eating
I plan a cheat day once a week...Not a binge day, but a day that I can eat whatever I want as long as I don't go crazy. I follow a low carb low calorie healthy diet the other six days. I have a lot of weight to lose. I knew that I was not going to make it waiting over a year to have something that I liked and wanted. My doctor suggested that I take this route. So far, it is working for me. I can do anything for six days. lol

Abdominal Pannus
I don't know if you sew or not, but there are a few patterns out there for shaping garments and corsets. They are not too difficult to make if you have a little sewing experience under your belt. BraMakers Supply and Craftsy have a few patterns and Etsy shops have a few also. They relatively economical once you get a pattern and a few staples in your sewing stash. Let me change that a bit. I have only made ONE corset and it was part of a renfest costume...So, I cannot speak to the difficulty of making one as a foundation piece. I do make my underpinnings otherwise.
