wait that's not right. But you have to put your weight into the system to start out. So go to weight History and enter a weight there and remember to save it.

first challenge
:) Challenges are for motivation and to make it a bit more fun! Keep it up! The weight thing is displaying incorrectly. I've lost a total of 38 ls since July 13, and my goal is 175, but just can't seem to get there. The closest I have gotten is 183, for a couple of days........:x

iPad issues
Anyone know why my weight graph will not display on my iPad 2 on the website? It does display within the app. But some features on the site are not doable on the app so I have to go back and forth at times. :badgrin:

Why do people eat high protein diets?
Protein satisfies your hunger much longer. Most carbs turn directly to sugar. i.e. anything white, sugar, flour, potatoes pasta all raise your insulin levels. I notice when I eat mostly carbs for breakfast I am starving way before lunch. When I have eggs, bacon, etc I can last till mid afternoon if need be. But the best thing is to eat about 6 times a day.Don't starve yourself.

BROKEN LEG/IN BED FOR 3 MONTHS HOW DO I LOOSE WEIGHT NOW???
Had a broken ankle. Make it your goal to just NOT GAIN!!!! You should be proud of yourself if you can maintain. Do some light weights and upper body work, you will need it when you use crutches.

I have been increasing irritated with porn ads on this site. I finally was able to eliminate them by (on my Macbook) going to settings in Chrome, advanced and cookies. There I was able to add website addresses to and block those ads that I find offensive. I am sure that other browsers have the same feature, I had just not had to use it before! Yeah, porn free ads!!! I like that Fatsecret if free and I really don't look at most of the ads, but the one with the roach and the women's bottoms was just too much!

Need help understanding the exercise calorie counter...
It takes 90 - 100 calories an hour just to maintain you while you sleep. There fore you should burn about 2000 - 2400 calories a day even if you do nothing. I know that sounds high but I have seen this figure at other sites. I figure if I stay below that base RDA calculation of calories to maintain then I should loose weight and so far I havel

Anyone have fat-free salad flavoring ideas?
Look for Walden Farms or Trader Joe's Calorie free or Fat free dressings. All that I have tried are very good. Look in the produce department.

Prepping meals for the week
I rarely prep meals days in advance, but I do plan what I am going to eat days in advance. That way I can work out how I am going to spend my RDI and tweak in advance if necessary
