GOOD GAME DAY SNACKS & MEALS
OK. I finally found a healthy meal for the Super Bowl. I'm pretty sure it will go over well with family and friends. SMOKY CORN AND BLACK BEAN PIZZA. Ingredients 1 plum tomato, diced 1 cup canned black beans, rinsed 1 cup fresh corn kernels (about 2 ears) 2 tablespoons cornmeal 1 pound prepared whole-wheat pizza dough 1/3 cup barbecue sauce 1 cup shredded mozzarella, preferably smoked mozzarella Directions Preheat grill to medium. Combine tomato, beans and corn in a medium bowl. Sprinkle cornmeal onto a large baking sheet. Stretch the dough into about a 12-inch circle and lay it on top of the cornmeal, coating the entire underside of the dough. Transfer the crust from the baking sheet to the grill. Close the lid and cook until the crust is puffed and lightly browned on the bottom, 4 to 5 minutes. Using a large spatula, flip the crust. Spread barbecue sauce on it and quickly sprinkle with the tomato mixture and cheese. Close the lid; grill until the cheese is melted and the bottom of the crust is browned, 4 to 5 minutes. Wish me luck on this one. GO STEELERS!!! Your Pal, Julie ;-)

GOOD GAME DAY SNACKS & MEALS
Hi everyone. If you are anything like me Sundays are a day of Family, Fun, Football, and FOOD. And when it's not Football season, it's some other sport. Anyway.....With all of the playoffs going on, I really overdid it with the food. And now with the SUPER BOWL coming up I don't want to snack on (or over-snack) mindless junk. I am looking for anybody who would like to share their good-tasting, good-for-you snacks, drinks or meal ideas for game day fun. Or any party day fun. Thank you all in advance for helping. GO STEELERS!!!! (and good luck AZ) Your Pal, Julie ;)

Getting to KNOW YOU, la la la laaa la laaa laaa
Hello All. I live in Houston, Pennsylvania in the USA. (It's really Chartiers Twp. but our mailing address is Houston, PA.) It's about 15 to 20 minutes south of Pittsburgh, PA. GO STEELERS!!! My name is Julie and my screen name is really not that original. My last name is Albright and I have always loved the number 7. It was my number (for sports) all through middle shcool, high school, and college. Since there are three of us in our family I used Albright777. My real nickname, that most friends and family here at home call me, is Julz. Your Pal, Julie ;)

At the minimum WW points and hard to lose weight
When I was doing points, at first the weight seemed to fly off. Then came the slowing and then a plateau. So what I did was switch from points to the core plan. That change was good for me for a few months. After that, my portion size started to get out of control and I went back to points. I think that my body just needed a change. Like right now, I am doing Core again for a few weeks. But whatever you do, don't go under you points too much. Your body will go into starvation mode and start storring calories. Great job on adding more exercise too. You are on the right track. Good luck in your weight loss journey. :d

Summer B.E.A.C.H. Challenge!
MINI CHALLENGE - RECIPE CHALLENGE - GREEN SEA TURTLES Hello All. Here is my recipe for this weeks challenge. It's a side dish, that we are having tonight with pan seared scallops. I have never cooked with bok choy, so I am pretty excited. Sesame Stir-Fried Chinese Greens Ingredients: 2 teaspoons canola oil 2 pounds baby bok choy 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds In a wok or large frying pan heat the oil over high heat until very hot. Add the bok choy and stir-fry until they begin to soften slightly, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the soy sauce, vinegar and sesame oil and cook until just done, 1 to 2 minutes longer. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve. I'm hoping my little girl gives it a try. She has been getting pretty brave with trying new foods. Now, she doesn't always like them, but she is trying. Hope you all have a great Friday! Your Pal, Julie ;)

GREEN SEA TURTLES
TALLY, WEIGH IN, & MINI CHALLENGE FOR COOKING Hello everybody. Look out, it's Friday!!! Well, I made my goal of another 5 for Thursday the 14th. My Weight this morning was 142.5 pounds. So I got rid of that Aunt Flo Weight. I am estimating today's TALLY to be a 5 as well. I play running my tail off while Abby is taking a nap this afternoon. Abby and I biked again, and added an extra mile. I was working so hard that my heart monitor went off. LOL. So I had to call that in, and everything was fine. :d Only one more week, and I get to take it off! :d I also got all my water in before 5:00 pm. I wanted to get it in early, because we took our daughter to the Washington County Fair. So many temptations!!!!! But, we did well. We split a Gyro, and a lemonaid. Abby even ate some Gyro meat. I ate most of the lettuce and tomatoes, My Husband ate most of the meat. It was a little salty for me this time. Last year at the fair, I ate a whole Gyro myself. And was still hungry!!! LOL. The Kettel Corn was calling me too. So I bought a small bag, and only had one small handfull. :d MINI CHALLENGE RECIPE: I got this from Foodnetwork.com. I am excited to try it. We are going to have pan seared scallops along side these greens. Sesame Stir-Fried Chinese Greens Ingredients: 2 teaspoons canola oil 2 pounds baby bok choy 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds In a wok or large frying pan heat the oil over high heat until very hot. Add the bok choy and stir-fry until they begin to soften slightly, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the soy sauce, vinegar and sesame oil and cook until just done, 1 to 2 minutes longer. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve. Well, I hope you all have a great Friday, and weekend if I don't get to chat. GO GREEN SEA TURTLES!!! Your Pal, Julie ;) ;)

GREEN SEA TURTLES
TALLY Well, today I am on track for all fives this week. I am giving myself another 5 today. Abby went biking with me, and we went 7 miles. Well, she rode in the seat behind me. I also ran around after Abby in the yard for over an hour today. That has to count for some exercise. And yes, that nasty water went everywhere with me today. I swear I hear sloshing sounds when I walk. LOL. Well, I gotta go. Olympics are calling me. I am addicted! Have any of you seen Dara Torres? She is the 41 year-old American swimmer. I would kill to have a body like hers!!!! She is a real inspiration. But, I have to remember that she probably has a ton of personal trainers and personal chefs, and trains 6 to 8 hours a day. Plus she is a mom of a 2 year old. Hope you all have a great night. GO GREEN SEA TURTLES!!! Your Pal, Julie ;)

MINI OLYMPIC CHALLENGE--GREEN SEA TURTLES Wrestling! That's what my husband said I should do. He said he would be my coach. LMAO!!! I decided to do cycling. I took my daughter on the back of my bike today for a 7 mile trip. I thought I was going to die. It's bad enough peddaling up hill, it's another to do it with a baby seat and a 25 pound child. But we made it. Abby was so good, I also stopped at a playground for her to play for about an hour. It was nice. This playground had pottys there. That was great. They were clean too. So there were no pee pee accidents today!!! We are going to go for another bike ride tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it. Your Pal, Julie ;)

TALLY FOR THE GREEN SEA TURTLES Well, I did it! I earned a 5 for today! Heart monitor and all, I ran a mile in 10 minutes and 03 seconds. Then I jogged/walked the last mile and a half. I had to call in a recording on the heart monitor, because it went off durring my exercise. It was pretty scarry to hear it go off. Everything was fine though. I got all my water in today too. If I drink anymore water tonight, I'll be floating before I know it. Tomorrow I am putting Abby on the back of the bike, and we are taking a trip on the Montour Trail. I'm shooting for a 7 mile trip. She is always good for me on the bike, so we should have a good time. Have a great night. GO GREEN SEA TURTLES!!! Your Pal, Julie

There is always the trampoline. I didn't even know that was an Olympic Sport. I have one of those small individual ones that you can use for exercising. I wonder if I can get high enough to flip around? LOL. I think tomorrow I will try biking instead. Your Pal, Julie ;)

Help
Being that you are a diabetic, have you checked with your doctor first? I see an endocrineologist for my insulin resistance and she suggested using the Glycemic Index and Glycemic Load. To me, it's still confusing, but I did find a really good book to explain it in terms I can understand. "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Glycemic Index Weight Loss" There is also a cook book that goes along with it. While incorporating this with my medication (metformin) and exercise, the weight started coming off a little easier. What also helped was being on WW. That way, if there was something in the cook book I liked, I was able to count the points. It has gotten easier. Good luck to you in your journey. Don't give up. You are doing an excellent job. At least you are not sitting there not trying! That's what is important. Your Pal, Julie ;)

GREEN SEA TURTLES
TALLY Hi all. Hope everyone's weekend went well. With all the crazy stuff going on here, I managed to get some water in, along with some exercise. Saturday, Aug. 9: 4 I probably could have exercised harder. Sunday, Aug. 10: 5 Thanks to my husband pushing me to run. Monday, Aug. 11: 5 Drank a bunch of water and exercised even after running for my stress test. It's only 2:09 p here and I have already drank a ton of water. I needed to for the test. But, I drank it! I'm still trying to get this bloating down. Unfortunately for my weigh in, I showed a gain. I hope this week goes better for me. Hope you all have a great week. GO GREEN SEA TURTLES!! Your pal, Julie ;)

HELP!!! Aunt Flo is kicking my butt this weekend. I have been exercising and drinking a lot of water, but I feel like I'm loosing. Since Thursday, the scale says that I have gained 4 pounds!!!! Please someone help me get rid of these 4 pounds!!! Where did they come from? Thanks to my PCOS, I'm not used to having a regular period. I used to only get 1 to 3 a year. So all this PMS garbage is killing me. Tomorrow is my stress test, and if I feel like this, I am afraid that I won't do well. Your Pal, Julie :?

Summer B.E.A.C.H. Challenge!
TALLY FOR THE WEEK -- GREEN SEA TURTLES Hi All. Sorry I haven't been posting. Things have been crazy for the Albrights. I am sorry to say that I haven't lost any weight this week. I'm going to blame it on the soon-to-be arrival of Aunt Flo. She's should be here any day now. But, her cravings, headaches, bloating, and exhaustion are already here. So, I'm still at 143. I can't remember what days I posted, so here they are for the week. Saturday, Aug. 2: 5 Sunday, Aug. 3: 3 (sorry) Monday, Aug. 4: 5 Tuesday, Aug. 5: 4 Wednesday, Aug. 6: 5 Thursday, Aug. 7: 5 **Friday, Aug. 8: 5 (estimation) Yes, I am giving myself a 5 for tomorrow. I will be at my hometown for their annual multi town yard sale. There are 3 towns involved and they all run into eachother. From end-to-end, it's about 3.5 miles long. Abby and I plan on going end-to-end, and side-to-side. Plus I'll either be pushing her in a buggy, or pulling her in a waggon. She hasen't decided what she wants to take. LOL, a 2 1/2 year-old who can't decide. LOL. This yard sale has been going on since I was a little girl. It's a really fun tradition. But, this year some tradition will be changing. Instead of me walking around looking for the umbrella suckers, hot dogs, fudge, hoagies, pop, hot sausage.........etc...., I'll be packing water, water, water, water, apples, almonds, water, oranges, water and water. So, wish me luck on finding some great deals. I hope you all have a great Friday and wonderful Weekend. Oh, by the way, I know the Olympics start tomorrow, but the STEELERS are playing their first pre-seson game tomorrow night. GO STEELERS!!! GO GREEN SEA TURTLES!!!!!!!!!! Your Pal, Julie
